I know a guy in sodus bay area just starting out does it part time out of his garage right now. Real perfectionist and into the details and has a good turnaround. Fish mounts I've seen look good.

Spend the loot and get it done right.  I have a 11lb Fingerlakes Brown on my wall that I requested to be done in "Lake colors" .  It looks like a Landlock Salmon...  I really don't even like looking at it.

Cheap is good but GOOD isn't CHEAP. The way I look at it is to put a couple bucks a day in a jar and by the time your mount is ready you have the cash.
