Cayuga Inlet Lamprey treatment

DEC plans on treating Cayuga Inlet with lampricide starting August 12. In the event of bad weather (high water) the treatments will take place the week of Aug. 19th.

It wil atke awhile for the difference to show up but it is well worth the effort   for the DEC

DEC starting lamprey treatment today and finish tomorrow. They were rained out last week.

While rain stopped DEC a couple hours short, they feel confident that it was a success. Saw lots dead lamprey and many struggling on bottom shortly after they started. Hopefully a good start for a rebound in the lake.
