Yeah it's probably the best "off the shelf" chip I have seen for the lake. Check out nobeltec if ya like the navtronics chip. I have the software on a laptop in the boat and it's sick.... Expensive but sick

Before buying a Platinium be sure that you're unit can read the Platinium. The Elite series can't.

Compatibility list: http://www.navionics.com/sites/www.navionics.com/files/documents/Americas_CompatibilityGuide_2.pdf

For the Platinium users don't forget to activiate the Fish N Chip function to benefit the Sonarcharts!

If you purchase a new Navionics don't forget to register you're card within 60 days of purchase on the Navionics webstore to get a full year of Freshest Data.

Like I said its unreal but expensive the complete

Set up the way I wanted was like $2200.00 and that's totally separate from my chart plotter and platnum chip.having that on the computer combined with the chart on the boat is unreal. Too many toys lol

oh ****.. I just checked, I have the Premium Hot Maps East...

You can run the Navionics platinum plus, in the spring someone told me its doable, so I called Navionics and the walked me through it and yes it does work flawlessly, I know they claim not, it must be a hdi unit.
