is it to soon to target the lakers yet? i know they spawn sometime around now, but after they spawn i believe they put on a feed bag for winter.

Usually around November is the main spawning but right about now there may well be some in shallow water if you know where to look

Dan, in recent years you can still go after them on the northern end of Seneca on the drop on that 50 to 100 ft. Once that spawn spark hits though Iike soon, 3 weeks or so? It may be later because I think the temps are unseasonably high still, the fish will be shut down out in the deeps like you said until after. As soon as my powerhead gets back I want to get out there as well.

thanks for the help guys, i may give it a go late next week. cant wait any longer. my fishing season doesnt start until fall and winter as i am a landscaper.
