Rivera Planer board masts

I'm looking for some info on Rivera planer board masts. I understand that they automatically take up the slack on turns when they stall.

 

any info would be appreciated.

I have one on my boat..... it is a simple spring loaded system

Its nice but on occasion if you do not pay close attention and feed it slack ot will loop around the pully and it becomes an awful mess quickly. Also if the internal spring system gets messed up taking it apart is awful
