Rigging help

Can someone show or explain the proper way to rig ff and or meat rigs? Proper leader lengh and leader lb test? Mono or flurocarbon? I ahve been up several times and have failed to really hook much wondering if i am doing something wrong or just terrible fishing

Flies typically run 3 times the flasher length it all depends what the fish want. As far as cut bait anywhere from 35 inch to 70 inch depending on the flasher size. Typically 50 lb flourocarbin is used for both. That is from the flasher to the fly or bait rig. Hope this helps.

We use 40 lb fluoro on our flies, and in between the dipsey and flasher.

 

So dipsey, about 7 ft of 40# fluoro, flasher, leader to fly about 3x flasher length with 40# fluoro, fly.

We connect the dipsey to flasher to fly using quick connect ball bearing swivels.
