Tiaganock- Stream Fishing

Recommended Posts

It sounds like a lot of fun!  But I think over the years we've found (and is site policy) it's generally frowned upon to post stream names, especially the smaller ones.  A hundred people have now read this and the chances of those fish being there when you get out of work tomorrow are suddenly a lot less.  Knowing the area I know exactly where those fish were from your description, and I'm not the only one.

As for tactics, what do you want to know?  Happy to help in this regard.  Micro jigs are good, egg sacs are popular, all sorts of flies, even some spinners and spoons (with a single hook!) are used.  Similar colors to lake fishing.    Have fun out there but maybe only share with a few buddies... there isn't much room on most of the FL tribs and the numbers of fish aren't that high.

I realize it after I made the post :(

Because fish numbers in streams have been so bad, I released my catch. Hope others would do the same knowing that it was a female.

How would I have got the male to bite? You can pm me info.

Yeah there used to be more activity about the FL streams, never a lot but it died out and I think everyone is happier for it.  I used to post some on the older version of this site. I sent a PM.  What and how are good questions.  Anyway, still sounds like fun, did you measure it?  Most people C+R but some guys take limits if they get them.
