Size spoons your pulling on cayuga, owasco.

Recommended Posts

I'm catching fish but, spoon size is killing me plus speed. It's a long day on the water marking fish and few takers. I catching 2 to 3 for 4 or 5 hours. Makes a long day. I never keep anything as I release every fish. I only keep walleye when on oneida. Some days I simply pop the hook out and never take the trout out of the water. To me it's simply fun. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a fish hawk and it can be more important than spoon selection.  Speed at the ball is crucial especially on the FL's.  I have been running anywhere from 2.4 to 2.9 at the ball.  The GPS speed can be from 2.0 to 3.3.  Faster has been better lately.  I put out 4 to 5 inch spoons on my riggers and cheat with 3 to 4 in spoons.  I wont go larger than that.  Smaller spoons on the cheaters.
