  1. I don't know what the deal is with this picture, but I have seen it in a couple places and it is not legit. This is an article claiming the deer was found dead, the article is from back in 2009. http://doubletoughoutdoors.com/big-louie/ It has popped up a number of times other places too.
  2. Tom, I have a couple PMs out to people who had already posted some open seats. Thanks!
  3. My fishing buddy wants to come up sometime in the coming months to do some salmon fishing. I am not sure what the best plan is and I would like your thoughts. We have a couple options the way I see it. We don't have a boat or the $$ to spend on a charter right now, but we would be open to renting a small boat. Are there options for that that would allow for salmon fishing in the Rochester area? Irondequoit bay looks interesting to me, I believe there is a boat rental service on the bay--what options would we have there for salmon fishing? If we go that route, I would think any time now through the end of August would be good right? The other option is to wait for the salmon run in the tributaries and fish there. What do you guys think? Thanks! Jake
  4. Name: Jake Location: Greece NY Home Port: None Boat Name/Type: None I fish for: Anything ================== Hi all, I moved into the area in 2009 and planned on starting getting into fishing in the area right away (hence the join date of 2009). Anyway, things got busy and fishing didn't happen. Now I plan to dive in head first with the salmon run this fall and I figured it would be a good time to introduce myself. I don't have a boat but I am certainly going to get one eventually. I have done lots of fishing in the past from offshore salt water fishing for tuna to trout fishing small streams in PA and I love it all! Really looking forward to having some time to get back into fishing around home, but I have a lot to learn as I have never fished the waters in the area. Thanks! Jake
