    I just spoke with Westfield Tackle and the lady told me that they are taking lakers pretty regularly now on about any spoons out of Barcelona. I'm going to try and head over there this weekend or next.

    Thanks for the replies, So is meat rigs the weapon of choice for Lakers in the area? Is the walleye fishing decent? Walleye fishing shut down here in the western basin.

    Looking to try fishing for the first time out of either Dunkirk or Barcelona for some lakers. From what I read they seem to be between these two ports out beyond 90 fow. Do both ports have a decent municipal launch and parking or is one better than the other? Any pointers would be much appreciated, I'm coming up from the Ashtabula area.

    Thank the Feds, we have them here in the western basin of Lake Erie and Michigan. They will literally strip a small island of all vegetation from roosting and feces. Go look at Little sister island lake Erie, stripped.     I use Velcro banding or strips to band it to the end of the rod. This stuff is also great for bundling rods together after they are broke down for the season.
