I just read an article that the DEC netted a white sturgeon in Black River Bay. It's was an oddity by no means but technically the picture of the fish they took violated their own rules as prohibited are not allowed to be photographed either. I'm headed up Friday. Will be fishing all of chaumont. Last year was amazing for walleye. Boated 20 or so opening weekend. Ranged in size from 5lb to 13lb. Hoping it's like that this year. Due to the late ice and extreme cold this winter I'm thinking it will be similar. Most likely will start at the mouth of three mile bay as it was very productive last spring.
