  1. I know exactly what you are talking about regarding the walleye disappearing act. With work and low water I got the boat in the water later than usual. Still, mid may is prime time for eyes in Henderson/ Chaumant area. But not this year. Trolled for 4 hours outside C bay in 20 to 40, used spoons, Flicker Minnows of every size and color. Nothing. Marking some good fish but no takers. You're right about the alewives being in. They were all over the surface chowing down on an unlimited supply of gnats. The other thing I was wondering is if the lake levels, clear water and a sunny day worked against us. Sure is nice to zip across the lake in calm conditions but I doubt the eyes like it much. May need a few waves and overcast. Gonna try again this weekend. Maybe it is too late. We will see! Sent from my SM-G973U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. I am way behind on posting this... My family has owned a cottage on Snowshoe Bay, Henderson for 80 years and have caught countless fish. But I personally have never caught Walleye. For my 55th birthday, my wonderful daughters booked passage on Sunken Treasure charters. They are supposed to be the best for Walleye. So on June 22nd we went out with Gene and Sam.... I think the pics speak for themselves! Gene and Sam were awesome. Very relaxed, allowed us to do all of the fishing except the prep. Many captains freak out if you touch their gear. The only rule was no rules! Follow Gene's direction and land HUGE HOGS! And yes, they were the most delicious fish I have ever eaten from Lake O. They even provided us with some tasty Polish beers! If you like to catch Walleye, if you like to eat the best tasting fish in the lake, if you want a good time and have amazing results, there is only one place to go: Sunken Treasure Fishing Charters!!! Thanks so much Gene and Sam! I will Def be seeing you again! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I have heard walleye fishing in the Henderson area is good. Was up all week and had no luck with my daughter. Any advice would be appreciated. Willing to travel up to the black River or Chamumont area. I don't have any downriggers, just a 19 foot runabout and a great attitude! Thanks. 4. The pond in stoney island is great for bass, pike and perch. Not sure about walleye. The place to get them has traditionally been the black River bay Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
