Thanks for the help. How about riggers vs divers?

Can anyone help me out. I am looking into buying a crestliner 1950 superhawk. Is this boat enough to take off of sodus point fishing for Lakers and salmon? And also are downriggers needed or will dipsy divers work well? Thanks for any help!!
