I met up with Cecil and his brother Bruce at Bridge Bay and we were on the water by 8:15 am. I met Cecil just after he moved to Lakehead. He and his brother are both from South Africa.
These two guys are really hard to understand when they are talking, but they brought some great food for lunch! We had Puto with a dipping sauce, along with Boar-wors with bread. It had quite interesting flavors.
I had the planer boards out and the pair hooked into 12 fish and lost them. There was plenty of A&E aboard today.
Just as I was about to call it quits for the day, they finally
got it down and landed a double. Now there was one good take down Bruce had. When he had the lure aboard he thought a piece of the lower jaw should count for something. It was a pleasure meeting the brothers, with some frustration on my part, watching people lose fish all day.
But we will do it again. Hopefully without losing the fish. All fish came in on Silver Streak spoons and Smithwick stick baits.
