 Post subject: 50lb Fly Line

Hello
If my fly 50lb line is a little wrinkled, should you replace it? It isn't perfectly straight to tie to my SD. Not sure if it made a difference.

I replace them every season if they get like that. As long as there are no frays, it should be fine. I just don't want to risk losing the monster during derby time.

I'll second Gambler. I reite mine every season as one of the "winter" projects. You may want to consider tying some extras in case you need them during the season also.

The hardest thing to do to is to try and not wrap the fly around the paddle for storage. That will kink/wrinkle up your leader every time. If you can hang them.....do it. If not go buy a large pool noodle and cut it into 1' sections and lightly wrap your flies around that.
