I stopped at the power plant hole after work today. Saw 10 or more go over the ladder and a few more failed attempts. Does anyone know if they are going to shock the stream again this year?

I was told that it is highly unlikely this year due to the austerity budget at DEC.

I had also heard that the shocking killed alot of fish last year so it was questionable.I was wondering if there was a site that posted the dates of stream shocking.

I heard from the "horses mouth" that shocking is scheduled for next Tuesday. But if we get all this rain that is forcasted, it maybe a wash out. Probably have to wait and see.

Opening day I'm heading to Cohocton. I don't have the patience for that elbow to elbow crap. Give it a few days and I'll come back with my 5 weight fly rod and play with the suckers!
