Here's a way that the Gov't can get out of debt quick. Pass this law:

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to every citizen of the United States".

Currently all those elected people can get retirement after only one term in office + perks such as security details & what nots. Should also apply to every cabinet member and be done on state level for every comissioner & judge - Paterson's going to get some & he wasn't even elected. Goveners & presidents appoint a lot of people who get thrown out after they themselves resign or are not re-elected.
