  2. The most I have ever seen is in Jackson Hole Wyoming in the center of town on a few arches in the park with thousands of them.....unbelievable!
  3. Curious to know what the all the negativity is that you mentioned? If you havent realized that fishing reel followers have a on going battle like chevy, ford, and dodge fans it might be time to. Those reels will do just fine.
  4. Its 1 of my regular farms i have exclusive rights shed hunt on. The owner leases property from us so we worked a deal out and I’m greatly appreciative of it. Had 3 of the antlers I found laying within 100ft of the truck. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. I think I know those fields...great job! A buddy of mine walked over ten miles this past weekend for one. He will be jealous.

  8. Have two okuma stratamaster sm30d reels. Curious with all the negativity associated with Okuma reels if these are going to run as well and are as tough as my daiwa and penn reels? I run primarily Daiwa 47 reels. Few Penn 320’s. These would be serving as rigger rods for me. not sure on their age, but they’re in seemingly excellent near new condition. If they’re inferior to my Daiwa and Penn reels, then I’ll just use them for spring brown trout planer board fishin.
  9. Hey guys! Thanks for keeping an eye out! I’d like to stay away from the saltwater boats and looking for a 285 or 313 between 1997 - 2002. That boat in Florida is actually a 286. The 313 in Benton Harbor sold in late January. I would like to get more info on Debi Duz Too. It sounds very much like the 313 in Benton Harbor (Four Season Charters). That boat had a low hour repower on it as well. I’ll try reaching out to Sutherland to get more info. Thanks!

  11. Same question, really. (sorry about the hijack, Jbfish) I am picking up my 1986 Starcarft 250 Fisherman with original 5.0 MerCruiser from Rustyhook1971 in about a month. Not totally sure about engine condition but know that it runs. What I do know is that I can't get stuck 5-10 miles out on the lake or I will never hear the end of it from my wife. Questions: Should I get an e-start Yamaha 20hp kicker with long shaft (20") for trolling to make sure I can get back in, even in rough water? Will it troll slow enough without using bags? Is a 9.9hp really enough motor for this set-up (getting back in, not the trolling)? I plan on getting an autopilot with an Ez-Steer to main. Many thanks for any advice!
  12. I have a proline 231WA. I run a 9.9 Yamaha with a 20” (long) shaft. If you have the cash power trim/tilt, electric start and forward controls are all very nice to have. Someday I’ll get a power trim/tilt. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Ethanol gas? Had an issue with it in a previous boat. Only run non ethanol now Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  23. Good question. Yes I do but I retrieve the spoons with a dinner fork because I do multiple spoons at once to avoid getting stuck . You do have to fish around a bit but not a real problem.I wipe any fine dust off of them with a soft cloth after retrieval.
  24. The MMSI number is a very good thing and I strongly suggest you get one. As for not getting a peep. That is not so amazing for at this time of year. There is hardly any boat traffic at all. Just make sure that all your connections are strong and tight and dial onto the weather wavelength. Not hearing anybody, may have to do with the fact that ship to shore is used very little anymore. Everybody just uses their cell phones these days.
  25. Do you leave the hooks? Just a thought!
