  1. Past hour
  2. Lots of water to explore in Braddock's Bay. There's a public car top launch immediately prior to the marina on the East side off East Manitou Road (Manitou Beach Road is the West side). The edges are all cattail on the South side and there's usually spots to tuck in with wind. Long Pond has always been more catfish, sheephead, pike and sometimes a walleye for me. Buck can get sloppy, but there's bucketmouths in there. All the above are good suggestions, too. I'll also mention the lower section of Oak Orchard, but x2 on staying off the big pond. Smallmouth fishing isn't what it used to be and it can get dangerous fast out there.
  3. Congratulations fishstix . This was as always a nice derby to fish. Looks like your onto something that may payoff next week, good luck.
  4. Today
  5. Within 15 miles of Brockport are the LO tribs as stated , probably your best bet . Stay off the lake , no need to be out there . Good mix of everything . Black creek in Bergen , largemouth and pike . The canal , there is a widewater between Holley and Hulberton I fished as a kid a lot . The spillway just east of the lift bridge in Holley . Canal tip, anywhere there is a change . Concrete to rock , bridge enbutments, etc . bounce small jigs from shallow to deep or small crank baits . Lot of small mouths and some walleye . Largemouth in the widewater . The Quarries in Hulberton if they aren't posted . Some pig largemouth in those . Hard to catch . This should keep you busy for the summer .
  6. Also , I had a good conversation with the slide diver guy at the Niagara show . I said I used dipseys and walkers for my flashers . He said with the rod length leads with the dipseys , it would restrict the circle the flasher, especially the 11" , would make . Makes sense as I use 25 to 35 leads for flashers off my riggers,. Some guys are using 15 ft leads on their dipsey and hand lining the fish to the net . F that , might as well use the slide diver with the ultimate ring .
  7. I would suggest the itroll also. It is infinately adjustable unlike the others which allows you precisely dial in your speed if you want to. It is very well built and very easy to install. I heard the customer service is great if you ever need it. I have had mine for 4 years and have had zero issues and I use it a lot. In regards to the hunt mode, you get a free trail period with it when you buy the unit. I tried using it and it works well but you can not adjust it in the fly which I did not like so I did not purchase the feature at the end of the trial period. 8. I have owned 2 Controllking and love them. I had one on my Thompson and also have one on my Aquasport. I have replaced 1 Servo on each unit, but the hours i have put on my kickers is over 1k on each unit. I am a rep for this company, let me know if there is any questions you may have. They are a great company to work with and have great customer service. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. I would take a look at some online info as to what has been done with venting portable tanks. Me personally, and not that this makes it right, but portable gas tanks are meant to be vented if you run from them. You will no doubt build fumes in that compartment. Those fumes are heavier than air and will linger and possibly make it in your bilge area. The notion of having a good electrical setup to prevent an explosion is a risk that I would suggest not taking. You might even want to check insurance / coast guard regs to see if there is anything that might steer you in comfortable direction. This type of stuff isn’t like a leaky rivet, not that it can’t make your day worse. Just an opinion. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  13. Hey Guys....some salmon we caught last year, sadly lost a lot of my footage to a corrupted SD card, even lost my sons first solo salmon....not happy. Anyways enjoy! https://youtu.be/GYPStn3aQv4
  14. 1981 Penn Yan boat 24 foot has OMC 350 tunnel Drive trailer has 4 brand new tires 1 brand new rim brand new LED lights all the way around asking 3500 or best offer need gone asap I need the space in my driveway
  15. My Honda 9.9 does have an alternator, but it's not enough to recharge 2 batteries after bringing up downriggers and running a auto pilot, along with the rest of the electronics that are on all day. I run 16# torpedos and my kicker actually slows down while I'm bringing up the weights. I've never had the batteries go dead because I recharge them overnight with the on board charger.
  16. I have the Controllking on my 9.9 Honda. It works as it should, but I have gone thru a couple, I guess you can call them actuator motors that move the throttle. It's an easy replace, and I've heard that you can just buy model aircraft motors, but I replaced them with originals.
  17. Very interesting, did you buy the upgrades for hunt mode and dual motor?
  18. I’d like to find two Cannon Uni-Troll 10 Manual Down Riggers. Used preferred, would like them to be in good/excellent condition. Thank you Eric 412 491 3674
  19. I have read some good things about this Biore and Neutrogena stuff. If it really doesn’t feel greasy or not noticeable after a few minutes it would be worth the extra cost. https://theinventory.com/this-japanese-sunscreen-is-the-first-skincare-thing-ive-1828370379
  20. I will have this checked. I would be interested to know whether others with kickers suffer from the same battery drain. thanx again.
  21. Did you check the kicker with a load meter. It is most likely a bad alternator.
  22. I got a super good deal on Field and stream braided 65# braided line. I just read some reviews online about it and am a little worried. I plan to rig my dipsy rods with it. Any and all input appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I will be there. Go to the Face Book page Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Whoever the boat I cut off when we caught the king sorry. I buried a smithwicks to curve of the hook in my hand. You probably could hear me screaming in the next boat as the fish kept flailing around in the boat with me hooked to it. 😄😄
  25. I would look at itroll system. I looked at several and this is the one i purchased...works flawlessly for 3 years now and very easy to install.
