  2. I have owned 2 Controllking and love them. I had one on my Thompson and also have one on my Aquasport. I have replaced 1 Servo on each unit, but the hours i have put on my kickers is over 1k on each unit. I am a rep for this company, let me know if there is any questions you may have. They are a great company to work with and have great customer service. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. I would take a look at some online info as to what has been done with venting portable tanks. Me personally, and not that this makes it right, but portable gas tanks are meant to be vented if you run from them. You will no doubt build fumes in that compartment. Those fumes are heavier than air and will linger and possibly make it in your bilge area. The notion of having a good electrical setup to prevent an explosion is a risk that I would suggest not taking. You might even want to check insurance / coast guard regs to see if there is anything that might steer you in comfortable direction. This type of stuff isn’t like a leaky rivet, not that it can’t make your day worse. Just an opinion. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  8. Hey Guys....some salmon we caught last year, sadly lost a lot of my footage to a corrupted SD card, even lost my sons first solo salmon....not happy. Anyways enjoy! https://youtu.be/GYPStn3aQv4

  10. My Honda 9.9 does have an alternator, but it's not enough to recharge 2 batteries after bringing up downriggers and running a auto pilot, along with the rest of the electronics that are on all day. I run 16# torpedos and my kicker actually slows down while I'm bringing up the weights. I've never had the batteries go dead because I recharge them overnight with the on board charger.
  11. I have the Controllking on my 9.9 Honda. It works as it should, but I have gone thru a couple, I guess you can call them actuator motors that move the throttle. It's an easy replace, and I've heard that you can just buy model aircraft motors, but I replaced them with originals.
  12. Very interesting, did you buy the upgrades for hunt mode and dual motor?
  13. I’d like to find two Cannon Uni-Troll 10 Manual Down Riggers. Used preferred, would like them to be in good/excellent condition. Thank you Eric 412 491 3674
  14. I have read some good things about this Biore and Neutrogena stuff. If it really doesn’t feel greasy or not noticeable after a few minutes it would be worth the extra cost. https://theinventory.com/this-japanese-sunscreen-is-the-first-skincare-thing-ive-1828370379
  15. I will have this checked. I would be interested to know whether others with kickers suffer from the same battery drain. thanx again.
  16. Did you check the kicker with a load meter. It is most likely a bad alternator.
  17. I got a super good deal on Field and stream braided 65# braided line. I just read some reviews online about it and am a little worried. I plan to rig my dipsy rods with it. Any and all input appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. I will be there. Go to the Face Book page Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Whoever the boat I cut off when we caught the king sorry. I buried a smithwicks to curve of the hook in my hand. You probably could hear me screaming in the next boat as the fish kept flailing around in the boat with me hooked to it. 😄😄
  20. I would look at itroll system. I looked at several and this is the one i purchased...works flawlessly for 3 years now and very easy to install.
  21. Have a Thompson 240 Fisherman with a 350 main engine, and a Honda 9.9 4 stroke kicker. I prefer to troll with the kicker cause I can control the speed perfectly, and obviously conserve gas. Last weekend we trolled for a long time, and the main motor was not started. When we finished trolling, and wanted to head home, the battery was dead and the main motor would not start. We made it home safely with the kicker, thanx to calm seas. Can anyone advise whether the Honda has an alternator that should keep the battery charged while trolling ??? In the past, I have set a timer to remind me to start the main motor every half hour or so, but neglected to do it last weekend Any ideas out there on how I can keep this from reoccurring. Maybe another battery ?? Running two batteries now. Boat has all common electronics. Thanx
  22. It's an excellent question that we all should be interested in..... I've had several patches froze off my face in the past 2 years. I don't mind wearing sunscreen, but are there any products that don't sting your eyes after sweating? That's brutal..........
  23. Good question. I use Eucerin Daily Protection Face Lotion. Its SPF 30 and its a moisturizer too. It has Zinc Oxide in it. My old dermatologist told me if a sunscreen doesn't have Zinc oxide in it your wasting your money. Not to expensive . If theres something better I'd like to know what it is.
  24. I use the lite bite slide diver. I run 65# power pro braid on top of the mono. I went out to 50' of water and let out line until I started hitting bottom. with this set up and running at 2.0 it took 185' to get down to 50'. then I did the math and got 2.7 dive for every 10' of line out with my diver set up.
