  6. The best release was made by big Jon it was red and had a main part you threaded on your line that was like a horse shoe shape with a pin that also went on your line. The pin then was pushed in the main PC's ..you could yank your ass off from the rod end and the ball stayed..but when a fish pulled the lure the pin came out and the ball fell off.. we used then all the time ..it was what you did as a junk rod before the copper craze.. I still have some and when fish are deep I pull it out ..you can get down easy 100 foot with only like 250 foot of line out ..we used to save money by gather old rail road spikes from where they took out the old tracks. . Those worked great and were free.. it also was the first way I ran big flashers and meat heads back then ...we did not have spin doctors it was dodgers and squid..the first flashers I used were the 11 inch paddles and the old clear meat heads you had to bend to get to run. And we basically only ran it on dropper rods Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  8. Just buy a Ranger Heavy-Duty Hook-Free Treated Replacement Net at Fish USA for less than 20.00? Already coated.
  9. I have a 9.9 pro kicker electric start with alternator and my transducer for fish hawk is near motor and no issues. Is transducer in prop wash...could be problem?. You can try a ferrite ring. Did probe work same location before kicker? Wire temporarily probe/head unit to a separate battery not tied into charging system and see if that works and you can narrow down issue.
  10. Updated the original post because two of the five are sold. Three rod holders are still available.
  11. Im looking into adding another board to compliment my tx-44. Usually pull 10 colors 300 and 400 coppers with success but im wondering if theres a board that will pull even harder than the tx-44. Sometimes when theres a bit of current the board will wanna pull behind the boat and find a dipsey or a chute copper

  13. Northport Nailers have the most durable finish. For walleyes their 3.25" sized spoons and their "wild thing" spoons work well.

  16. Quick run with an Uncle from out of state who’s wanted to go for Kings with me and my dad. We fished the same waypoints that have treated me good for the past couple weeks. Focused 200-250 fow but took fish as low as 120fow. Everything went including matures smacking the cheaters on the riggers. Little nervous with the North blow Sunday but not much changed and if anything Inside warmed up in a good way. We’ll be back out in the morning again Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Wow that’s impressive. I’m not a fan of the quality of Michigan Stingers but that’s all I’ve ever trolled with and they work well but sounds like I need to broaden my brand selection. Do you use wire leaders or just heavy fluoro leaders
  20. Nice work. Congrats on the baby. Pretty awesome the wife says get a bigger boat and not sell the boat! Lol
  21. Started off getting a steelhead just over halfway between I-Bay and the river 60 down over 180 on an orange/copper spoon. Not much else was happening there so after checking out part of the floating cattail barge from Braddocks directly in front of the bay, headed toward Hedges. A lot of action in the 130-140 fow range directly north of Hedges. Got the trifecta of brownie, steelie and king in the same 135-140 fow line running SW to NE in this area. The brown and king hit a green glow NK spoon and the steelhead hit an orange/black copper spoon. Everything hit 55 to 65 deep, which I thought was unusual for a brown. He actually hit while I had practically stopped to change the lure on the other line. I've caught just about all my steelhead this year on orange/copper spoons. The king was decent size at 18 lbs. Saturday was one of the best days I've had in that location.
  22. Great job and Thanks for the report. Haven't been up in 6 weeks and fishen was tough last trip. Good to see you guys getting them out of mexico. How was the fleas out there?
  23. On tigers it's 1 fish per lure with them or maybe two walleyes! Have had silver streak paint chip yet and the hooks don't break.
  24. Looking to upgrade my helix 7, Its not marking fish. I've worked on the settings and NUFFIN. I catch fish, just no marks. Looked into CHIRP models, seems like they work better in deeper columns of water. Just looking to see what others have had luck with. Thanks in advance, Buckblaster Sent from my SM-S767VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
