  4. Honestly, you can find kings out of any port early July- it's often an offshore bite, so be prepared to cover water. Oak, olcott, sandy are all well fished ports with much more networking/info sharing than other ports, so guys tend to do well there for sure
  5. For dipseys, with flashers, I use 30 lb. Otherwise I run 20 lb Generally I run 1 rod length of floro for my dipseys- so about 8 ft. Ive often wondered how much it matters with conventional dipseys- they're pretty big, with a lot of hard ware and most guys run them close (6-9 ft) to the lure. For planer/rigger rods, in the spring I run 8-10 lb floro and then 15-20 when I'm targeting kings- usually at least 20-30 ft leader.
  6. Will you sell 1 of each for 200$ plus shipping?

  11. The plain nightcrawler is easy to overlook with all of the other options available but I have had days when jigs and blades wouldn’t get hit but a worm and split shot drifted on the bottom took fish.
  12. Eels can move across land, especially after large rain events when the ground is saturated. Maybe that’s how??
  13. I am seeing a lot of different prices for Downriggers. The proceeds go to my Aunt, as she is a widow now. Lowering the price. Buy one for $225, or both for $400 or best offer. I live in Medina, Ohio. South of Cleveland. If you are coming from far away, then I am willing to drive up to 50 miles to meet you somewhere. Jeff (330) 483-1136
  14. This was my modified glowcicle that I had colored last night. It worked. My other 3 producers are on the deck pic.
  15. Try slip bobber and nightcrawler
  16. Took the morning off to try again and was met with swells big enough to make me hurl. Dirty water didn’t produce for me even when the water temp went up 2 degrees besides 1 hit and run. Was getting discouraged but sucked it up and changed up colors and hit some fish in clear water mid-morning around 10:30. Started off working in 5-10’ with a Smithwick, rapala and a modified Icicle. Icicle on my rigger down 4’ hit first and snapped my leader on the strike. Too choppy to retie so I tossed out my 1 color core with a Sodus Buckeye. No more hits for 2 hours. Moved out to clear water but still under 10’ and hit a pod of fish. Every rod went off within 5 minutes and had to net 2 at once. Third one hit as I was untangling hooks. Decided to put two lines back out as I was packing up to leave and the leadcore went off again, this time was a noticeable heavier fish. The drag on that Okuma goes from weak to locked without much in between. Had to tighten it to gain on it and of course it turns and snapped me off at the leader. 10# leader lost me 2 spoons today but great to land some quality fish.
  17. I have a 2 year old 24 volt, 80 lb thrust, 72 inch shaft terrova with universal sonar for sale. Includes foot pedal and hand remote, 2 group 31 interstate batteries. $ 2200
