  10. Are you out early or late in the morning? Colors that fire early don’t always fire when the sun comes up. I ran darks in the morning and chromes/whites when the sun came up last week with a lot of success. Actually black/green dot fires best in the early morning until it got light. 11. I launched at East ramp Monday and the full week prior and there were no issues. Did the water level rise this week? Didn’t really seem to be a concern then. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I have launch at the state launch last couple of weekends. Has something changed recently? They built up the ramp very nicely vic
  13. Thanks. I appreciate it I really do but I do not like to borrow stuff from people I would rather just buy it and own it.. That way if something happens.. I don't feel bad for messing someone else property. Thanks that was very cool of you to offer Sent from my LML713DL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. If you just want to borrow one and don't mind a roadtrip, you could use mine, Im about an hour south of Erie PA
  15. I appreciate the insight from both, though I posted the question in April. I wound up going to the south end of Honeoye once. That day fish and people were crammed in the little channel. I didn't find it a particularly enjoyable place and type of fishing. I will not post questions regarding crappie going forward for the sake of thier sustainability. Just teasing, have a good summer!
  16. went straight out and we went 3/5 on Kings in the first hour till my buddy got sea sick and we had to head in. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. 1.8 to 2.2 is what I always run....spoon on probe rigger meat on deeper rigger flasher/fly on dipsies spoon on 300 wire meat on 400 wire spoon on 10 color if I have someone with me I add more wire rods
  18. A lot of trailer boats pay gasoline taxes that could be used for boat launches. Registration fees and sales taxes on marine supplies could be used for launch services. Professional football, base ball, basketball teams get millions and millions of tax dollars annually. Come on compare the tax dollars spent on other sport facilities with police and other service costs every game. Launch ramp services are minuscule compared other tax dollar expenditures. 19. 2 older cannon downriggers with 5 foot booms. I do not know what model they are. One has a partial sticker that says something Kuna. These seem really heavy duty compared to newer ones. Someone told me they were made for heavier balls for saltwater fishing. They work fine just used them for walleyes with 12 pound weights this weekend on Erie. Reason for selling is they are a little too big to use on my new boat set up. Hate to sell because I like the fact that they are way sturdier and heavy duty compared to the new ones. Comes with 2 smaller riser blocks. $325 for pair Located in central Pa but will be in Ithaca on Sat the July 20.
  20. I just started running meat rigs and was advised to run the meat at around 1.9 to 2.2 mph on the probe and no faster. I'm sure people run meat along with spoons in the spread at the same time, so what speed do people run at if mixing both in the spread? I figure the spoons wont have much action going that slow. I usually run a 6 rod spread which includes 2 riggers, 2 wire dipseys and 2 lines off of boards and i like to mix it up.
