If you call them and tell them what you need they will sell you any part for any item. I did that for some downrigger parts and they couldn't be more helpful.

Well I thought that the Captain (Huntfrisco) of the boat would post the last fish report in 2007 for his boat, but he said it was my turn to post and if the truth were known he really had a upset stomach from trying to eat all the subs and cookies :shock: , and yes, I did bring 2 packages of Frig Newtons. So with that said I'll post the report for todays fishing while he recovers .

Lake level is high for this time of year but we can still get under the bridge at the launch. The bubbler was on so when the weather finally returns back to winter the launch should be open (unless some dimwit cuts it with a prop :evil: ).

Today was another banner day for us. Had a great catch of LL's & Browns. There were maybe, 4 other boats and they should have had a good time also. For a couple hours the fish were hitting almost anything that was thrown at them. Most of the fishing we did was around the park and we did go up to the scout camp and wacked a few more. We brought home a few browns & salmon to eat and the rest went back in for some other trip ( hopefully they don't smarten up :? ). I was pleased to see that a lot of those 16"-17" salmon we got this summer are now 18" to 19" now. There should be some great LL fishing in `08. It's about time `cause Lord knows we've been waiting for this for a few years now.

For us the season ended with a bang and I hope `08 will continue to produce some excellent fishing.

I was waiting to see if Zeke was going to step up to the plate and get the cookies. Hope he doesn't disappoint us........... . I'll bring the Frig Newtons anyway......sorta like,..."can't have to many rods"....besides `frisco can wipe out a bag before 9 AM :shock: and I want to be sure we'll have enough so I get some this time.

It's hard to respond to the above posts without sounding like sour grapes but in my own defense I must say that I was grabbing most of the rods when a fish hit, at least for the first couple hours, ................................that was because `frisco was in the cabin eating all my Frig Newtons.....and when he was finished with the bag of cookies he started on the giant sub he brought for the both of us. After all the food & coffee was gone then I had help rigging and landing fish . I went home hungry but I did have a couple fish for the freezer so I'm happy.

The bite was on yesterday with only one short slow period. We just hit it right. If you fish enough you'll have a day like that every now and then. Of course the captain & ship has a lot to do with the success. The only thing that `frisco's rig could use to make it the perfect fishing machine is a few more rods :shock: ........thats why he brings me along.

(my motto......"can't have to many rods in the water") it's sorta like having your own bait ball behind the boat .

Thanks Ken for a wonderful Christmas present. You couldn't have given a fishermen a better gift than a day on the lake like yesterday.

OK `frisco your on..... my guns will all be cleaned tonight and the tackle box is already repacked for winter fishing. I'll be at your house at 6 AM Saturday....please don't leave without me. I really need some fish. Ate all the fish I had during deer season `cause I didn't get any deer to eat this year . It's going to be a long winter and the freezer is empty .

Now I'm not looking for any welfare from you guys. I'll try and manage on my own for now. A few good fishing tips will really help to sustain me through the winter.

It was a sad day but I sold the place. So much for late night runs on Cayuga and bonfires on the lake shore.

By the way, Stinger said I have some due's coming back to me but he has to wait on you paying your last three months worth of membership dues. Pay up so that I can get paid out...

We normally pro-rate the dues by the month Chaos.......now that it is already December 10th your out of luck on any dues refund for 2007 :shock: . On the other hand `stix said he was going to cover my launch fees for `08 , so I credited his account those 3 months. Right `stix?

When you told me you may leaving the area I was hoping that things would change and you would be able to stay here. This was not vary good news at all.....I'm sure a lot of the other guys think the same. You know we all wish the best for you. You you come back to the area to visit family call ahead and I'll take you fishing.

Didn't want to post on this topic without my log book which I pulled out of the boat today......

First of all this was a busy year for me and I got out less than half of the trips I usually do in a season. (14 trips to my usual 30-35 trips). I'm not going to blame it on work.....that is to easy. Lets just say I have 3 new woman in my life... :shock: .

All but 2 of the trips were out of Long Point. First 2 were on the south end and it was pretty sorry so north I went. Best fish taken from my boat was on May 6th by Ken (Huntfrisco)....36" laker, 14 1/2 lbs. Pictures taken and fish released.

My numbers are a little down from last year which was way down from previous years. Most of the lakers were pretty good size though...(24"-29")...a few bigger and a couple smaller. Browns were fair sized, most in the 15" to 20" range. Rainbows were almost non-existant on my boat, 2 @ 16" .. :? .... . Salmon were always hitting spoons and a few on flies. Most were in the 15"- 17" range with a few keepers.

So that's about it for me . Not the greatest report but it reflects my effort...... or lack thereof :roll: .

I'm not saying that my season is over now but it doesn't look good and hunting season is underway. I'll post if I get out again.

I haven't been out either. Spent 3 hours in my boat last Saturday, only problem was there wasn't any water under it :shock: . (PM'ed both engines and did a some dinking around on Li`L Buddy).

Not sure yet if I'll be fishing this weekend Vince. Should know late Friday. Will fish the Long Point area if I go. I'll give you a call if I come up.

We took the walleyes by mistake, we were trying for browns. It was really funny, everyone was pumping us for info at the awards ceremony, like we were walleye experts (they were taken 50down trolling stingers).

It's amazing the fish you catch that your not fishing for. Check my post under " Crazy- Double". That cooler full of bass were caught on a weekend that a bass tournament was going on at Cayuga. They were over the 300' water between Sheldrake & Long Point :shock: .

Anyway,......congratulations on placing in the money.

.......great story. I haven't fish that area in a few years but when I did I also had a few strange happenings. One year in particular I grabbed few bass while trolling for lakers that were down deep along the drop-off on the southside of that point. Had 2 doubles that day. Laker off the ball and a bass on the slider. What a riot, laker trying to dive and the bass jumping out of the water.

Here are a couple bass caught on flies 65' down......

....and another days bass catch while trolling for trout. These were caught out over 300'+ water.........

....sometimes you never know what's on the other end `till they surface.

...............I'm right here Chaos.......on the side lines. Been away over the Labor Day weekend.

Won't be fishing the tourney this weekend......actually I probably won't be fishing at all.

Just got a new power kicker bracket and will be installing it Sat/Sun. Hopefully only a one day deal and then maybe fish Sunday.

I know other states have daily limits, and you're allowed to fish as many lines / hooks as it takes to get you there.

....and another rule that should be considered is a BOAT License, that is a fishing license that will cover everyone that is in the boat :idea: .

Watch out for Ray K., he knows that lake like the back of his hand. Try to slip some bananas onboard his boat before he goes out in the morning.

Sounds like we need a last minute rule...........

"all captains/boat owners who's first name begins with the letters N thru Z must have 2 dozen bananas on board from sunrise to 1PM day of tournament. All boats falling into that category will be inspected to assure they are complying with Chaos's new rule."

Fished yesterday for the first time in 3 weeks (I was just trying to give `stix and Hermie a little advantage). Didn't do vary well either , so now I'm getting nervous :shock: ......... Hope I can maintain my composure .
