I currently have Maui's, Oakley and revo's. It is hard to beat Maui's optics. I bought a new pair of revo's last month and I am really impressed with the lenses. They have the blue/gray color lens and they are nice. All Maui and revo's are polarized. If you are buying Oakley ask if they are polarized, some are some are not.

I have always put a frog pattern white back spoon on first thing in the morning or on a cloudy day. works good for me.

whitebacked spoons work good in low light conditions too.

to make any auto pilot work good in an islander you need to add some weight in the nose of the boat.

get the 13 pounders from atommik. I used them for years on my mag 10's with no problem

I have run tekotas for years. I got a couple of them with sticky drags out of the box. I bought a couple of diawa saltists and tried them. it is a nice reel but I could not read the line counter and I hated the line counter placement. I had carbon x drags put in the tekotas and love them.

I have a Okuma Clarion 553LS reel filled with backing, copper and a fluorocarbon Leader. I bought it new from A-Tom-Mik last year. I used it 4 or 5 times and the set up has never been tangled or compromised in any way. It is a great video but I'm an electric knife guy too. It would take me to long to clean 50 perch with a regular fillet knife. I did like the reminder to keep the fillets on ice.
