  1. I also have a trophy 2359 since 1993(new then) I just bought my second

yama ht9.9 20" remote electric kicker. had the other one since 1995, still

working well but thought i should get a new one. the 20" is just perfect

for me. One thing, do not try to mount your highthrust 9.9 on the swim

platform as it probably will buckle it everytime u give it some juice. I

cut my platform and used a good garlick mount for four stroke highthrust motors. had mine on the platform for a while and a friend was driving the

boat and when he gave it some gas i thought the platform was going to

break. hope this helps. there must be 15 or 20 yama ht 9.9 in owsego

harbor and have really not seen any longer than 20".

  2. fishstix, i fish on my friends boat and at times the both motors, main and 9.9HT yama, never had a problem. i personally run two seperate

electrical systems, i have everything i fish with wired to my 9.9HT yama

downriggers, fishfinder ,fishhawk, radio etc. has its own battery etc. the

boat is wired as it was when i bought it. doing this for 12 yrs , even run

two seperate fuel systems, portable tank on swim platform for 9.9. never

    had a prob.

  3. i have used a 9.9 yama ht since 1995 (just ordered a new one) i went

with the 9.9 because of the 10 amp alt. don't forget the alt amp output

is at wide open trottle, at least that is my understanding.

  4. I have a 2359 bought it new in 1993, has been a great boat,

no real issues with the boat. has a drop curtin vice the enclosure, sleeps

4 (friends) 3 not so friendly. donT really like the new models for

space but a solid boat. like the green though. john :D

  5. If I remember right it was quite accurate. I attach the braid to may

cable and once I have one wrap around the spool I wrap the cable

spool with electrical tape, this keeps the braid from getting in the

wire cable. I never let all the braid with the attached wire out as it

    might break off.
