  1. Launch is wide open to the lake. Ice is gone from the south end. Water level is medium. Creeks are blown and won't be fishable till wed at the earliest. Good luck to.everyone this season.

  2. I believe I paid 500 bucks for my survey. Worth every penny. If the surveyor finds some minor issues you can negotiate that from the price of the repairs towards the boat. When I received my survey, I told the owner to either fix and I will pay asking price or I will fix and take it off the asking price.

  3. Ok, not an ice fishing accident ... but I think it still counts.

I was thinking of changing one of my trolling setups, so I got my favorite dipsey out, connected it to an awesome looking spin doctor and fly, all while my first mate was reeling in the rod I wanted to change. He took off the tackle originally on the rod, and I turned around to do something. Turned back to drop the new rig into the water. Threw it overboard grabbed the rod to let it out, but there was no pull. I watched as all that tackle sank out of site, as between the two of us we each though the other had connected it to the wire line. It was like throwing a $50 bill into the water. Awesome!

Har we have all done that. If you haven't, you are a fisherman (liar).

  4. make an "L " bracket  or maybe a "Z"   That would come down from above and go under the new mount.  It would only have to be as wide as the X-4 .  Thin Alum. would work.  You could drill the bracket to use existing holes from the 840.

Big Dave hooked me up with a great L bracket.  I installed it on my electronics drop down mount.  Works perfect.

    Thanks Dave!
