  1. Very slow. 15 tip-downs out and about a dozen perch. ice is 4-5" under the slush. I think sunday's weather is going to kill it hard. Too bad I have a ton of time off work. May hit cranberry in the a.m.

  2. I'll wait till next week. I did see one guy on the north end this afternoon about 3:00pm. The only open water I saw was at the channel and coming into the s.w. part of the bay. everything else looked good. A couple nights of some cold stuff and it should be solid again.

Disclaimer: This is only my opinion. I am not responsible for anyone falling through and getting their ankles wet.

  3. Sounds like great news rick! I'm too busy this weekend but I should be out starting next week. I'm going to have some time off work the last 2 weeks of the month. :D

Are you still good for bowling monday night?

  4. You guys are brutal! I've been told to smile more, I guess that's how I am. It's my inner beauty that counts! :) Rob, I see that the smile on your pictures isnt breeming w/ sunshine either.

Rick, it is my biggest buck. It looks like a relative of the buck my dad took about 5 years ago. His had a lot more mass w/ 11" g2's and probobly scored 145-155 area.

I was going to call you soon to see if you wanted to bowl on Dec. 17. Sam has surgery on his hand Dec. 13. He is out for 6 weeks after that. We don't bowl the 24th and the 31st. After those dates you can bowl as much as you would like. Let me know. Maybe we'll be talking ice fishing by then! :D

    Thanks guys

  5. This proves that we don't just fish for the money, huh? I spent about 600.00 during the 3 loc derbies this year.

Mike, you not having a boat for the near future does suck. Don't be shy to PM me next season if ya need a ride. We usually have the room. We just throw my pops gas $ after the trip. The boat is docked at Sandy.

  6. WW IV, Same here. the rest of the bay is perchless. Last weekend by myself I got 30 and this past sat. am w/ one other guy we got 73. All were in 5 fow east of the markers. Slip bobbers w/ fathead and orange jighead.

  7. Winning 20 grand would be nice, but lets get a little realistic for a minute. The chance of winning it is extremely low. The motivation for me to get up at 4am and travel from Webster to Hamlin is definately not for the 50 bucks I would split w/ the guys on our boat just for making the board. I think most of us on this website would admit that being in the top 20 for a particular division AND seeing your boat name listed on the leaderboard is very satisfying after the challenge of going up against the whole southern shore of this lake.

We all love money, but being able to show off a little is nice too. Hopefully they(LOC) will put all names on or none at all.

BTW: Take the rec boats out of the equation and you might not even have a derby.

    Just my .2 cents

  8. Fished from 8am till 130pm went 6-9. Bow, brown and the rest were kings no bigger than 18#. Most of the kings didn't start hitting for us until about noon. spin doctors on riggers and dipseys. leadcore w/ mag frog also. 70fow was the best. the kings really started showing up on the graph by late morning and they seemed to be starting to turn on for the afternoon.

Maybe we'll get a report from someone that fished in the pm.

BTW: Temp was still coming up a bit when we left. 60 degrees down 45'

  9. 6 kings today and I think we put one on the board at 28.5lb's( I didn't go to the weigh station and only heard from a friend the weight of the fish). 75 fow from bald eagle to the park. 45'-60' down. wh/wh sd and A TOM MIC hammer fly took most of the fish. No dipsey hits today for some reason. It seems like the kings are starting to zone back inside after the upwelling this past week. :D

Hopefully we'll be back out tuesday morning. Good luck
