I have an old victrola rig of my dads from the finger lakes. I believe it’s from the late 50-60s. Has monel line on it and still works. Used it in Keuka and Seneca’s

Same here Kevin, I have collected a few victrolas over the years, but my go-to was always my grandfather's.  Twisted copper and a twin minnow usually.

I grew up on Canandaigua Lake using a victrola pulling copper and a Seth green rig.  The good old days .

...same here, third-generation trolling rigs and pulling copper, the routine since I was 5 on Cayuga (now I mostly jig), but definitely great memories!

  3. I really enjoy using my Garmin, very user-friendly.  I once added a Panoptix PS30 transducer for lake trout jigging, but find that traditional 2D honestly works plenty well enough to find fish and easily view the jig.  I use a GT15 transducer.

Teasing a school of perch in the top pic, stack of lake trout in the other...

  4. Spent many hours on Cayuga pulling copper in the small Starcraft (3rd generation), such a productive and fun way to catch lakers.  A black/white twin minnow was my go-to, collected them along with Sutton spoons for rig fishing.  As long as the lure was ticking bottom you were in luck.  Trolled with my grandfather's victrola as a young kid, but was gifted a 3-spring model from Jens F's (RIP Jens) beautiful shop in Penn Yan many years ago from my parents and it is one of the most cherished gifts that I ever received.  The Jigging addiction took priority once the sharp zebras invaded Cayuga (plus my 4-stroke trolls a bit faster than I like), but one of these days I'll dust off the box and try again.  Glad to send you a couple twin minnows Joel if you want to try them out.  Have fun!

  5. Garmin PS30 Panoptix transducer, like-new, in perfect working condition, complete with transom mount, manual, etc.  It has been used only once for a few minutes, priced to sell at $1250.

Will gladly deliver if you're reasonably close to the Elmira/Binghamton/Ithaca area or will ship UPS (with tracking provided) for an extra, flat $20 fee.

The black with the white belly is by far the best one as it is thought that the action and appearance is thought to closely resemble the Slimy Sculpin (Stonecat, Tomcat etc.) which lakers love. They are deadly behind single strand copper trolled slowly near bottom. Easy paint job on those pictured

You're right Les (paint job), I should get the airbrush busy on the rest but don't use them enough anymore to justify it.  Busy pouring plastics, building rods, and painting jigheads instead these days!

It you ever fish the Finger lakes, these baits are the best I have ever used for Lakers. Mine are over 45 years old and still produce like new. Seeing these show up brought back a LOT of found memories.

Same here, I collected them for years beginning as a kid, and still have my grandfather's and dad's huge collection.   Mostly jig now, but will dust off the victrola again someday.  I mostly used the black with white belly, just deadly!
