  1. We fished out of Long Point both days.  We fished in 100 to 200 fow managing many lakers and atlantics, however, nothing of any size.  Our biggest was a laker around 4 1/2 pounds.  It was a combination of spoons and flasher and flies.  Majority of the hits on the spoons were ice frog, green alewife and nbk.  Majority of flasher and fly hits were on the white green dot spin doctor and sweet pea fly.

There were a handful of lamprey's that went back in two halves!  On Sunday, we had many lamprey attach themselves to our trim tabs and stern.

Over the past year and half, we have noticed that, at least for lakers, the size of the fish are smaller compared to prior years?  Could this trend be the cause of lamprey's killing the bigger fish?

    Enjoy the video!  :puke:

    I couldn't agree more!

  3. So you agree the coupler is fine.....?

I agree with Big Dave...coupler would have no splines....yours appears to have splines.  I hope you get this figured out sooner than later.

  4. I was trolling a few years ago and my coupler went...  the coupler gears were gone, therefore, I could not limp in and it would not turn the outdrive, therefore instant overheating.   Now, I have kicker motor on the boat!

  5. Sounds like the prop hub,  If it was the coupler the motor would heat up and you couldn't limp in.

Agreed....if it was the coupler, the motor would over heat and you would not have reached the dock without a tow.
