  1. My torpedo cable wire works great. The deepest I have been with it is 130 feet. I will never go back to coated cable. When I first put my connections together, I forgot to follow step 7 and it would not work. So, I redid it including step 7 and it finally worked. Guess I was too excited to see how it works to re-read each step to make sure I was putting it together correctly. Works great now.

    Here are the steps.

  2. out boards at like IO's - very easy to dock - your brake is reverse - when is reverse, spin the wheel in the oposite direction to pull your back to the dock and when going forward spin the wheel the opposite direction to push it toward the dock - but the key is dead slow and under control - wind will always be an issue and you have to adjust eveything for the wind strength - not fun - but if you do EVERYTHING as slow as possible you will always be safer than trying to go in too fast - RAMMING SPEED DOES DAMAGE. The heavier boats carry the speed - get control well before making any manuvers - even stop the boat - then start your turns and line up slowly - then go straight - then disingauge or even go reverse but do everything slow speed.

good luck and with time you'll get it

Took 2 trolling rookies out today in hopes of getting them a few salmon, however, that did not happen. Did manage to get a 17lb brown on the dipsey out 260. And no, we are not in the derby....oh, well.

Found good temperature (42-48 degree) down 120 on the rigger, but I didn't mark many fish today.

We heard a couple of rumbles of thunder and called it quits....glad we did because when we got back in the bay, the wind became intense and the rain started.

Slow today in Oswego. The three flashers and flies that fired were white, white and white. No other color got touched. It got warm out there as the morning progressed.

Here are pics of two of the three fish...didn't get a pic of the steelhead released while still in the net.
