Sorry to hear about the slow fishing. It has been slow in Sodus too the past couple of weeks, as has nearly everywhere.
-
Fishing is heating up in Sodus. Very cold water for this time of the year. Bites coming 50-60 down instead of the normal 100.
-
Depends on the wind from the South. If strong, we'll stay shallower. If not, our plan is to troll North until we find some.
-
Haven't heard much this week. We plan on heading out in the morning with an all spoon program to find some table fare.
-
Fished 150-200fow today... not much in here.
-
Head to 650fow if the lake is forecasted to stay flat.
-
We normally recommend friends stay at a B&B, we recommend the Carriage House.
For Hotel, there aren't any. There are a couple of Inns that charge by the bed, like $25 per person. Reel Inn and Sodus Point Lodge.
There are two campgrounds, South Shore and Sodus Marina. South Shore also has 1 cabin, but it books up fast.
VRBO has rental houses as well. -
Are you looking for a hotel, B&B, campground, rental, or something else?

Fishing has been brutal. Absolutely brutal.

Good to see you again this weekend! I'm SOOO glad Theresa decided she wanted to only fish Thursday and Friday "because the ProAm is always so rough". That was a GREAT decision on her part haha. I think your 4-6' estimate for Friday may even be low
and Thursday wasn't much better!

I expect today's west wind may push some warmer water in and drive those fish deeper. With temp being so deep already, it's a good time to focus on short water <150fow and offshore where 50F is within lure reach (it was around 350fow a couple of nights ago).
Or just start in 80fow, point north, and enjoy the day

excellent news! @wrinklestar, remember they measure from water level to peak, so always multiple the wave height by 2

@Indecisive is my webcam, I just text him lol

When are team registrations due by this year?

Fishing is slow... very very slow.

Oh boy, there goes my money. Just down the road from me, how can I not go!

Great tournament Vince and Stephanie and thanks for having us! I had to duck out of the after tourney festivities to repair our boat, so I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to everyone more! After a crummy day, winning a raffle prize was a real spirit lifter! Theresa still won't let me mount it in the boat though
I must say, I liked the format... 6 fish, no more than 3 trout, no more than 1 laker!

There have been fish in 100-120fow all summer. I'd start there unless you want to roll the dice and run offshore.

I have it on the Top Secret facebook group page... let me see if I can add it here as well...

I feel your pain, we had a tough weekend as well. We had the bites, we just couldn't get them to stick. We would have been happy with blueghost's 30% ratio
The good news out of all of this, it looks like the rest of the season should be great. I was getting worried after marking very little bait and very few hooks the past several weeks. That changed this weekend though as there were big hooks from Rochester to Port Bay. Looking forward to a getting back out there and getting some revenge on those kings!

Mike not sure if Arneys has spots. I know Sodus Marina just started moving people over to the fixed docks, so there may be openings here as well.
Have a team looking to possibly join (last minute) wheres the best options for a dock ?
‘Bout Time
