  1. What depth are you running? The other main issue that we always have with ours is the connection between the antenna and the wire to the display. We have reterminated it and it works better than it did from the factory

When ours starts to act weird we spray the antenna with the hose (or drape a damp rag over it) and it starts working again.

Good luck the are finicky when they want to be

  2. I understand that they are not paid. I always understood that the Summer Derby was, by weight station hours. But that the Agreed hours for the fall derby are 9AM - 8PM. Or am I misunderstanding this "rule" and it is strictly by the hours of the weight station.

    10. Agrees that the Weigh Master must weigh in all fish entered in the LOC Derby at an official LOC Weigh Station on the day caught. Agrees to these weigh station hours: Summer Derby hours vary by weigh in station, PLEASE check with the weigh in station for hours. For the 2015 Fall Derby Weigh in hours are 9Am to 8PM August 21st to September 6th. September 7th, 9AM to 1:00PM. Derby Ends at 1:00.

  3. Does anyone know if they are able to look up a pass and reproduce the LOC pass? I lost my captains pass, I inadvertently though it out when we cleaned the console out under the seat or put it somewhere really safe to not lose it.

I email them but did not receive a response.

Has anyone been able to get a replacement or am I up the creek and need to fork over another $100

    Thanks

    Todd

  4. I truly believe that sailboat's should be included. It seem's like they aim right for me everytime  I'm out there. Don't know if they just can't see around those thing's or they just don't pay attention but when I can actually hit the guy with a rock if I had one, that is way too close.

Who says they are exempt? As they are also motorized vessels when the sails aren't up

  5. The boaters safety course is 40 dollars a person

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

You sure about it being $40

"After consultation with industry and boating safety groups, the bill was amended to give the state parks agency, which would enforce the law, the option of letting people take the course online. Courses range in price from free for online versions to about $150 for classroom courses"

Why would anyone pay $150 if you can take it online for Free. Bogus! Anyone think that a online course will fix stupidity?

  6. Folks in May 2014 it is for those 18 and Under --- but will be phased in for ALL boaters over a few years. It does not say anything about grandfathering. No mention of the cost of the course.

"Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the boat safety legislation into law on Friday. It will be phased in over several years, applying initially to anyone 18 or younger and eventually to all boaters. First-time violators could get a fine of $100 to $250"

This is a terrible law, just another way "they" want to controller our lives and drain our pockets of our hard earned $$$. I wonder how much "law enforcement" will be out on the water harrassing for the certificate. Is there any exemption for Captains? I have already shown my competency to the Coast Gaurd, however I will not hold a New York State Boat Safety Certificate

8 hour course will not properly teach how to operate a boat and if anyone thinks this will work you are foolish.

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

Hot king action off I-Bay. We had 44-51 down temp.

Today was a hot wire bite weather we were letting it out, inside or outside of a turn the wire was smoking today! Crazy B*tch and Hog Wild were the hot spindocs with either a Siggs Jabenero or Attomik ProAm Live fly. White Nuclear took a couple hits, NK Mag took 2 hits.

We unfortunately we lost the biggest fish less than a foot off the back of the boat due to a amateur net job(my fault). When i went to net the fish it spun down and i bumped its nose with the net. The line went slack and the fly cam whizzing towards me, the treble broke off. Gauging the size and width of the fish it was much larger than the 28's that we weighted in

The majority of the large kings had fresh lamprey holes and one had the biggest lamprey i have ever seen. It had to be 15"+ we tried to grab it with the pliers but the fell off when the fish was flopping in the net

    Back at it tomorrow AM.
