Going to be heading your way in early November to throw my hat in the ring for the walleye derbies.
Hopefully some good weather and big fish! Good luck!

We decided not to go out today and instead head back to Ohio. Lake was flat this morning of course. Thanks everyone for your posts and help. Hopefully we can do it again at some point next year! We are back to Lake Erie walleye fishing till the snow starts. Good luck everyone. We had a pretty good year on the two trips we made up there this year.

Went today. Temps stayed the same. Calmer lake but slower bite. Took 4 kings all 10-15 pounds. 100-200’ fow. A few bigger steel as well. Mostly meat rigs 80-90 down. Might try AM tomorrow before we head home. Out of Olcott. Bite was better towards Wilson.

The lake was not turning over. I expected it might but not so far. We will see what tomorrow brings!

Any fresh reports? Heading up there for Saturday, Sunday and maybe Monday.

We are heading up in September. Keep the posts coming!

Went out of Olcott from Saturday to Monday. Started each day right before sunrise. We did very well in 150-250’ fow straight out basically. Down speed was 2.4-2.7 most of the time. Saturday was hot, flat with flies. Sunday was cloudy but flat. We were done before the rain came. Yesterday was rainy with a decent east wind. The bite was on fire for us yesterday. A friend of mine in a different boat got a 23 pounder for the LOC. Meat rigs down 90-100 were very consistent. We were putting 30’ back from the ball. We also ran meat on 2 outside three setting dipsies at 250 back. My other stuff we ran black and silver NK-28 and that was taking a lot of smaller kings 20-25” and the occasional teenager. We had steady action most of the weekend. This was one of the better weekends we have had up there in a while. Fleas we ok not horrible but they definitely are out there.

Went out this morning in front of Olcott for couple hours. Trolled from 60 to 280 before we left. Got one big steelhead and couple big hits. Left before the rain came. Maybe see u all again next year. Good luck.

Yes. Closer to Olcott. We got a couple more 5-8 pound kings and some steel. Been slow for us. All our action in the last 2 hours. 300 copper with carbon 14 spoon been consistent the past hour or so.

Red barn/ Olcott. We are right behind u now. U went by me when we were going north. Black and white Proline.

Just went back to back. One super small king one about 8 pounds. 330-350’. Carbon spoon down 100’

We went a few miles west of Wilson trolled 80-100’ back to Olcott, nothing for us. Trolling north now. Marked fish just can’t get them to move.

We are out by red barn. One big hit on carbon 14 spoon but lost it. 60’ fow. Now trolling back to the east.

Thanks! We will be up Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Prolly out of Olcott but will run to the bar if that’s where it’s at. If the forecast holds true we will be able to run anywhere. Will post results if we have any.

Does anyone know the results?

Figure on radio silence. In my 20 years of coming up to Olcott, no one likes talking on the radio up there! They must be busy reeling in fish.

Sent u a PM. We will be up Saturday and Sunday out of Olcott.

Thanks! I’d be happy with a few teenagers. We are taking someone new up there and can’t wait to see the smile on their face when those kings hit!

LOTS of small fish around, we stopped running spoons on boards by the 2nd day. Just a pain to keep reeling in the 10 color and 300 copper with 12" shakers on them. The big fish all came on meat or FF down deeper (65-75ft), biggest of the weekend was just shy of 20lbs with several in the mid-teens.
