Beautiful country you got in your backyard! Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Tim. Those genetically altered fish on the board should marked with an asterisk.

Way to go Rollie! We would always love to see some pictures in case you got em!

Steve,
I was on Chris of Momay4000's boat. Very beautiful and a sea worthy boat!
I have a 2003 Wellcraft v21 - 150 HP yamaha Outboard with soft top and I am happy with it. Indeed, we always keep our eyes for something bigger and better!
If I am to upgrade today with $35K, I would go to Penn Yann 24' to 26' with a hard top. I saw many boats at the recent tournament, Scotty Oswego. I was most impressed by the Penn Yanns for their excellent riggins, their spacious cabin and plenty of room to fight the fish.
best of luck!

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS
====================
Tough day out there. Started in 60 FOW. Saw many fish stacked near the mouth of river. I did not bother to fish near the pack of boats. Spent two hours trolling and no dice. Saw many charter boats leaving the staging area to deper water.
We pulled out from Genny and headed to 200 FOW. Marks on screen appeared in 340 FOW. Did figure 8 around the baits. No takers.
We SKUNKed! The waves kind of made things a bit frustrating. Trolling with the waves were the easest way. Heading back to the port was all wet ride.

Tree Top - thats a real nice looking boat! I should be able to ID your boat easily especially with the red hull. I will add a picture of my boat. I am still waiting from a friend for that photo of beautiful Rainbow Trout!
Good luck today!

Nice work! Two fish within a short time. Good to have a partner with you! My gal dont even want to come with me to fish anymore.

Rolmops,
Im sorry I do not have a radio on the boat. I did not bother getting the radio because I am deaf. However at the urging of my buddies, I will add the radio to the boat by next spring so my guests can use it to talk with others.
Feel free to text me 585 802 0909.
My game plan this morning was to first start the inside water first and then go off shore. With the fish biting in 80 to 90 FOW, I decided to stay by the inside water.
I am tempted to go out there again this evening because of the short run to inside water.
Good luck tomorrow.

Started in 70 FOW between Ibay and Genny River. Surface temp was 58 and turned to 62 when we were at 100 FOW. Cold water inside. Saw marks between 40 and 70 in 80-90 FOW. First hit - small coho took NK Mag green glow (not sure of name) on rigger 60' down. Same rigger, Same lure took another coho 6# at 50' down. Screen became empty as we approached 100 to 140 FOW. Then we turned back. Saw more marks in upper water column. Last fish took black/silver evil eye on cheater. Beautiful rainbow trout! 13#. Will add pix soon. Thank u Chris for the cheater tip!
Cooper did not take any hits. Probably too cold down at the bottom.
Good luck out there!
Had to head back to tend my children football practice.

YT,

YT and Chris,
Thanks for sharing your comments on this topic. With continued eastern wind, offshore seems to be the way to start for tomorrow morning.
I wonder if the cold temp will move the salmon away from running up the river. My original thought was to start fishing near the mouth of the river before daylight and then head up north.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow.
