I've got the same motor, but an older version. 

2 years ago, I noticed the same thing you are seeing, and pulled the thermostat. It was stuck open, never allowing the motor to reach temp. Changed the thermostat, and problem solved. very easy fix in my case.

This may not enlighten you Cheesey, but it's my typical plan for walleyes on NY Lake Erie waters...... I live about 2 hours from NY waters of Lake Erie so a trip is into my pocket for in the neighborhood of $130 - $150..... gas, tolls, bait, launch fees. I'd go way more often and in "tougher conditions" if I lived closer. I usually wait until mid-July to seriously fish for Lake Erie walleyes, and the fishing out of Sturgeon Point, Catt creek, and Dunkirk is what appeals to me. July through September fishing out of one of these ports usually leads to limits. Before mid-July its tougher for me to consistently take limits, so I just wait for the deep water conditions to get good before making my trips. Riggers, planer lead core, and divers. Harnesses, worm burners, stickbaits, spoons. Whatever seems to be producing. I'm most interested in fillets in my freezer, and of course, enjoying the trips. I've dabbled with the early season night fishing at various ports, but it just isn't my preferred method. I'm sure there are a lot of guys who take early season fish in good numbers, and maybe they can give you better info on that fishery. If you have any questions, shoot me a PM. 

I'd got some in lower Sandy years ago.......  at night in the fall.

I don't know if it's a good or bad idea. I have the identical electronics, in a small aluminum boat that I use all winter long (whenever we have open water), and I have had excellent results for 4 years without grease..... I just remove the unit from the boat and cover up the bracket connector with the rubber boot whenever trailering.

Colorado recently released 10 transplanted Oregon wolves. Colorado's plan was approved in a vote by the general public. Not biologists, not Colorado Parks and Wildlife, ......... urban wildlife "experts, led by people like Deb Glick, Tim Kennedy, Kathy Hochul, and the ASPCA ...... The Adirondacks aren't much different than the UP of Michigan. It wouldn't surprise any of us if they sought to have Wolves introduced there...... would it?

I wonder if assemblymember Deb Glick from Manhattan has ever seen a coyote that wasn't on her TV, let alone propose legislation that concerns their control. She must be an urban coyote expert.

I wonder if Gov. Hochul has ever seen a fawn eviscerated by a coyote? Struggling to run, trailed by intestines........

I've used MDO plywood (and sealed the edges with epoxy resin), with good results. This was covered with vinyl marine flooring.............

Fall 2000 LOC Salmon results....... 20+ kings entered over 35 lbs.

Keep an eye on Colorado...... it will most likely become the "model" for states succumbing to ballot box biology, and the reintroduction of gray wolves........ 

I've had good luck with mdo plywood for small aluminum boat flooring projects. You do have to seal the original and any cut edges, but the cost is "reasonable" compared to other composite or foam options. 

I run homemade big boards out of a 16' tiller boat often. If you run them both, steering is not a problem. Onboard space? That will always be a problem, no matter what size your boat is......bigger boat = more "stuff"........ IMO, build the big boards, set up a mast and go fishing.

7 Matures from the oak yesterdar afternoon....... no juvis....... maybe its a SC phenomenon, or maybe its associated with fish holding closer to the lake.......4 with scars.

approx. 75% with scars in the creek....... many of them fresh/bloody.....

I'd estimate were boating 35% jacks in the creek this "skein" season.......... I think I've caught more juvis this season than the last 15 years combined.......NBS...... something is different.

fished the oak yesterday in the afternoon and no juvis, just matures, but its only 1 days worth of "data".

They work great for walleyes...... they can be set light enough that a perch or silver bass trips them. We've run into a bunch of shorts on Erie this season, and they trip just fine. You'll love them.

Coyote pattern spoons...... Yeck, DW SS, and others have been good to us over the years, but particularly yeck...... and don't be afraid to amp up the speed when fishing for them. 

Accelerator pump? I previously owned a boat with that motor, and the a-pump was susceptible to corrosion. I had similar symptoms, but I don't think it would have been possible to motor out to fish....... It was bogging down any time applying increasing throttle.

we got a late start and launched at about 8:45. I didn't notice anything or anyone "suspicious"...... but I didn't look at the t-covers to see if they were intact. 

Did anyone file a police report? You can contact the park police..... and file a report....... I had a battery stolen once and did so...... don't know that it will help your case, but at least the "authorities" become aware of what's going on, and may park in the East lot more often.........

As for the fishing...... couple of small kings and a couple of browns.... one at about 13 lbs....... no lampreys
