Les, Thanks for the shout out. I've spent the past couple years trying to aquire the dies, and bring these back. I must say the plating is top notch, and we offer silver, 24k gold, and copper.
Pete
When the daughter start selling the famous Surton I bought quite a lot but unfortunately the plating didn't last; after a few times in the water they become kind of black and when I contact them regarding this problem they told me that they are aware of the problem and they say it's because there is a product that they were not able to use because it was unauthorized by the EPA.

In the $50.
I just found this online: https://www.anchor-caddie.com/products/scotty-boat-caddy-new-release-scy452

Very interesting:
We're super excited to officially announce the release of our newest product, the 452 Gear Caddy.
Designed with a wide variety of anglers, and a broad set of applications in mind, the Gear Caddy offers an extremely flexible storage solution for boats and kayaks of all shapes and sizes.
It would even work great in a truck bed, a car trunk, or anywhere else you might need to keep things organized.
We've built it to work seamlessly with our time-tested post mount system, attaching to any 241 mount, or any of our other products with a post mount receiver.
Increasing its flexibility, it can be mounted via post from the bottom, the side, or attached to most gunnel tracks. All the hardware to secure the 452 to your craft or vehicle is included, and is made from heavy-duty, marine-grade materials.
There's a dedicated cell phone slot, with a notch cut out for charging cables and headphones... A drink holder... A magnetic tray to keep fish hooks and little bits of tackle from going missing... slots for bait, lures, knives, scales... handy attachment point to keep rods in place...
The storage possibilities are truly enormous.
As always, everything is designed, manufactured and assembled by real (awesome) humans at our Vancouver Island plant in beautiful British Columbia, Canada not China
I'm ordering one next week

A little late but here it is anyway, from the archive: https://www.princecraft.com/us/en/Owners/product-archives/Catalog-Archives.aspx

The marine company pretend that the foam they use doesn't retain any water and you're showing it's not true; so, imagine! There is foam everywhere in a boat so a lot of weight to carry and moisture to damage any parts in wood.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Do you intent to replace the transom with wood or another material?

It’s a total scan transducer
Total Scan is probably the worst transducer that Lowrance produce. The 3 in 1 is a better choice but not compatible with the EVO2.

HDS LIVE is with the latest update compatible with your AP-44

There is not that much difference between a EVO3 and a EVO3'S except for some screen brightness screen and faster processor. There is a new model from Simrad base on a Android platform and very easy to use.
It's a new model so I should say to wait maybe to the next season so they can correct some small glitches; at this moment you can't use a Navionics map but maybe you don't use it's the case it's not a big deal. Depends also what you are using for AP .You have a excellent unit with your EVO2.

1st install the latest update using a card of 32gig and less and once done calibrate your screen.

I was just thinking about getting magnesium anodes specially that I only fish in lakes.
When you are buying let say a Mercury outbard do they come with zinc or magnesium? I would assume zinc because a large part of their clients are in salt water.

I had Hank replace my sea water pump this spring and said that I must be using the cheap stuff to winterise because my impeller was soft and swollen.
I never knew that there was a difference and just got what was easy to find. Learned something new.
Thanks for the reminder

I made this post for they guys that are using the pink stuff and to make them aware of the one w/o alcool, most of them contain alcool and alcool is very bad to all the rubber related to your water ciculation part.
Regarding going to a a mechanic most of them don't even know about the difference between the 2 and good luck going back to them to fix your water pump that got screw with the pink stuff with alcool. And by the way most of them use the cheapest possible and the cheapest is the one with alcool. -
I know it's a bit early but with the problem getting some things, I found out today that that all pink products are not the same; most of them contain alcool and alcool is a nono in your motor so be sure to get the one w/o the alcool a bit more costly but worthy. Repairs are also very expensive.

Anybody have any issues with Scotty cable counters. If I use them all day by the end of the day they seem to be off by 3 or 4 feet. Should I replace counters?
You can adjust them by putting them on 0 ft at the water level
