  1. If they are save they will show on the card with this extension: .usr
  2. Perfect set-up 31 size battery are a must and 2 are better then 1 your kit is complete , coed with the isolator
  3. I post the answer on another website but I am posting here also, maybe it can help somebody else: As stated, using a kicker when your main engine use an electric power steering pump will discharge your main battery because everytime that the kicker turn the pump is activated and it draw a lot of amp. This is a major problem specially if you want to use an autopilot. To start you need two batteries a kicker kit from Mercury and a isolator. The part# for the kit is: 8M0149838 which I understand does NOT include an isolator. For Verado models, an isolator that can handle the FULL OUTPUT of the alternator is recommended, so the recommend part# for the isolator is: 8M6006077 (140 Amp Isolator). The kit and isolator enables the Verado to charge both batteries ...as needed . Done correctly, it charges the start battery first then the house as needed. One is the start battery and one is what we call the "house" battery. The "house" battery is needed for a boat with Verado power steering and a kicker. The kicker doesn't put out enough charge to keep up with the amount being used by the power steering pump when the Verado is not running but you are using the Verado power steering on the kicker. A kit installed (sold by Mercury) enables the Verado to charge which ever battery needs it Tournament style boats with huge electronics and lots of them, also incorporate the "house" battery .
  4. I ask a question but you are not giving me a clear answer. What size of Verado are tou running? Verado’s can use 2 kind of steering: hydraulic and electric hydraulic; they are 2 differents animals
  5. It’s not an electronic power steering it’s a electric pump habitually on Verado 200 and more. I just want to be sure that you are running a electric power steering and yes if it’s the case it takes a lot of battery when you don’t run the right set-up
  6. When you say Verado and power steering do you mean a hydraulic or a electric power steering?
  7. It's compatible with the Gen-2
  8. You probably meant $1300 for the hydraulic and $1600 for the cable
  9. The cable autopilot from Lowrane or Simrad is a bit more then $1000 , probably around $1500 and they use Octopus for the motor drive and you need a Lowrance Gen2 and up or a Simrad GO or EVO. The GO is a very good unit and affordable, it’s the brother of the Lowrance Ti but the Timis not compatible with the autopilot.
  10. The P66 is a good transducer but it can't do CHIRP. The Gen-2 is a 500 watts units and the Gen-3 is 1000 watts unit. What I would do is to use the Gen-3 in split screen using the P66; 1 part of the screen on 50kHz and the other on 200 and I'll be using the Gen-2 for mapping only. If you fish LO I will use Fresh setting, low noise is OK, for color palet I mainly use # 1 and sometimes # 13. For sensitivity : on auto but raise it until you see a little bit of "rain". Also another important thing is to be sure that the right transducer is choose under settings-Sonar-Installation and scroll until you can choose Airmar P66; there is 2 choices , 1 with a 5 and the other with a 10 at the end; there is one that work with the temp and I think it's the 10. Colorline is something useful specially to identify the bottom hardness.
  11. You will need the HOOK Reveal 83/200/455/800 kHz part#: 000-15640-001 but you won't get the 83 kHz/Mid CHIRP frequency but you will get a much better overall results.
  12. I'm checking if you can use the Splitshot transducer of the Reveal w/o using a adapter cable. If so it's going to be the cheaper way to achieve some excellent results.
  13. Theproblem with the HOOK2 is the 40deg. wide cone. The Ti is 20deg. cone
  14. Best thing to improve greatly youre HOOK2 is to get an adapter cable and get a real transducer. The transducer that is coming with is meant to fish in shallow water; it’s a 200khz but with a 40 degr. cone.
  15. Cable steer autopilot: 000-11749-001 Don’t expect paying $500
  16. Thats why I mentionne: check the alignment Enjoy, now
  17. You need to check the alignement and you need to push in very hard 100% of the time it’s because the plug is not fully in.
  18. If we look at the Navico products: Lowrance HDS, Ti, Ti2 those can read the Platinum on the Simrad it’s all the EVO and GO series
  19. Take a look here and once the blue botton on the bottom left of the page is active click on it and you will get the 1ft contour: https://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en#[email protected]&key=ablhGtttyM
  20. It's not because of the card it's because you made a wrong choice with your 7X; this model is only a GPS it can't read a card
