For my part I'm going with the new hydraulic AP from Lowrance. The integration through the 2000 NMEA will make the installation easy. The other complain when we are talking about AP is the slow trolling problem; the ap workd in conjunction with the gps and the gps need some speed to work properly but with the Lowrance Point-1 (Point-1 is a electronic and also a compass antenna) that will give a better operation at slow speed.

Sonic hub and sonar hub are 2 differents things

There is 2 Kingfisher dealers in the province of Quebec and the way it goes now the US $ is almost 20% over the Can.$

The margin for the retailers is very thin on that kind of stuff, so I don't see any selling that way less then another. If so, be careful it may not going smoothly specially over the internet.

In the same class of Hewscraft there is the Kingfisher (Harbercraft) and it's build in Canada in the province of British Columbia (west coast). Before buying a Platinium be sure that you're unit can read the Platinium. The Elite series can't. Instead of going to a Gold you better off with the new Navionics+ with sonarcharts. With the Nav+ you create you're own customize map. What model of Lowrance are you running?

The good way to shut down any HDS is to touch the power button then power off on the Menu. Shutting it down holding the power button does the same effect on shutting down you're pc with the power button= No good!
