  1. Les, I've been fishing up around Belhurst on the weekends. Last Saturday I was out in my 14' boat trying my best to troll, but the wind just got the better of me, couldn't keep the thing running in a straight line. Decided rather than fight it, I may as well use it, so I ran south to the top of Glass Factory Bay and let the wind blow me back while jigging. Boated 15 lakers and dropped a couple more fishing solo. Jigged anywhere from 70 to 110 feet of water. Hope to get out Sunday. Good luck.

  2. Had a great day Ed. Started out with riggers and divers but was having a miserable time keeping the boat in a straight line with the wind and bumps. Decided rather than fight it I'd move south and let the wind blow me back. Out in front of Belhurst in 70 to 100 feet of water jigging white flukes and paddle tails i had steady action all morning. Landed better than a dozen and dropped a couple of beasts. All Lakers and most in the upper 20's. Only a couple fin clips. Great day!

  3. Thanks guys it is a sweet ride......

Ron from camp was up Samson way yesterday said the weeds were real bad both sides and flea were out of control.... the wind today went 180* from when we started to when we stopped..... so  who knows how bad it will be...... still lots of bigger lakers up that way....  not sure which way I'll head out in the am if my arm is still OK after today......   may just run and gun  looking for browns , run two riggers and work the contours in tighter to shore......

Heading to Geneva after work. With my boat I have to pick and choose and tomorrow looks like the best of the weekend as far as the wind. Last Friday I did well up there on everything as long as it was orange! Saturday, I got blown off. No weeds, but plenty of fleas. I'll let ya know how it goes. Good luck!
