The wind blew us off the water by 10:30 so we went to hemlock and caught 3 lakers and called it quits at 3

  2. i never crushed anything i just got lucky while i was pike fishing if you really want to target walleye fish at nite and cast the shallows. i have fished the lake for years and the walleye will drive you nuts trying to figure them out your best bet is to go to the Avon angler tourneys 5/15 and 5/29 they are both held at night and it’s a good time to learn what strategies they are using to put fish in the boat…...

  3. Sharkbait,

FYI, the second pic is a coho salmon, not a bow.

    Nice fish, thanks for posting.

    Tim

thanks, i wasint sure i was just excited to catch it and let it go to get bigger, you would think with 4 of us on the boat holding the reg book we would have be abele to id it but i geuss if your not sure letting it go would be the right thing to do............

  5. I was out there early and was able to put 2 browns in the box before the sun lit up the bottom both came off f9 b/gold we tolled about 4mi east and never found any color we could see bottom in 30fow after that I knew we the rest of the day was going to suck so I pulled every thing and went west of I-bay 10fow never got a bite went about half way to the genee as a last ditch effort we went out to 40fow and picked up a 18 in bow on a j9 orange .. a COLD North wind picked up so I went in the bay and trolled past the bridge marked a lot of fish suspended in the 20 over 60 so I dropped some lures down and after about 20min we had a rip but didn’t get to it in time when I reeled in the lure it had a half digested goby on the hook must have came out of the fishes mouth?

Not a bad day a crew of 4 on a 16fter every one got to land a fish but the captain but we had a lot of laughs and it made for a fun day

I will post some pix later that bow was maybe the coolest looking fish I have ever put in the boat

It was some very tough hunting I put in 20 hrs and walked over 10mi some light snow and snow drifts up to my waste 20-30 mph winds for most of the weekend and low temps at one point I thought I was summiting the peak of Everest… only got one customer to respond to the call and I made my first shot count

Go to the link above to see the results

I know it’s not a monster so you can laugh all you want!!!! Just trying to get my tags filled so I can get back on the boat…. Anyhow I have used muzzy 3 blades for ever and decided to switch it up to Rage 2 blades this year iam very imprested they do shot like a field point and this 6pt did not take 10 steps after a 24yd pass-through shot and drop DEAD without a struggle in less then 1min …. I know any double lung shot with any broadhead would most likely kill the dear but I have never seen a deer die that fast from the arrow

The only bad thing I found with the rage heads is that it does not take much jarring around to make the blades pop out so you have to constantly check and pop the back in oh and they will not go in to a foam quiver but I found a quick fix for that is to take the foam out of your quiver…..

  8. Got out aroud 6ish set up 3 rods and went for the forth and heard zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzz FISH ON my brother grabbed the rod and I headed east out of the pack to fight the fish after about a 20 min fight on 10bl tes line we landed a nice king

It was my brothers first king hes hooked now

We got set back up and hit one more on the west side about 1 hour later and decided to call it a day around 9 the north wind was kicking our A**

Both fish came on a green rebel fast track flat lined 80ft back in 20-25 FOW not sure what are speed was with the wind my gps was going from 1.8-4.5

we did not see alot of fish rolling /jumping maybe 3 but we marked alot on the finder

  9. Eighteen mile creek (Bert Dam)

NO Salmon I walked up to the dam the water level looked good (dam had some good water flow coming out) saw 2 guys fishing but not catching the water was GIN clear not a fish to be seen

The west side of the dam pool had some new structure look like the wind uprooted some trees on the bank and they dropped right in the pool

I will return in a couple weeks with a fishing pole and hope for the best!!!!!
