  1. Edd,

Are you selling just the screens?

I understand no ducer but any power cables, gimbal brackets, sun cover included?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Hi Jeff. You will get gimbal bracket, knobs, sun cover and power cable for each HDS Touch unit. The SonarHub comes with a power cable and a Ethernet cable.

Sorry it took so long to respond, been very busy.

  3. Go into your sonar installation menu and check which transducer you have selected. If yours has a (10K) after the trans number change the selection to the same trans but with (5K). This should clear up your surface temp problem.

  4. Shellback is correct. When using DSI you will not see the typical fish arch, but instead you will see dots or specks. The brighter the dot/speck generally signifies a larger fish. I would think a better unit for you would have been the Elite-7 HDI. You would get the traditional 2-D sonar as well as DownScan imaging and the charts. If you're not networking with Ethernet or require full NMEA network-ability, this Elite-7 HDI is the hottest unit out there.

  5. Let's consider a few things here; 1-By 'on plane' I am assuming you mean over 25 mph, so when you consider the size and species of the fish, the diameter of the cone angle at the depth of the fish, and the speed of the boat traveling over the fish, you are likely already marking fish, but, they would be very small specks or dots on your screen. And it doesn't really matter which transducer you are using. There's just not much you can do about it! If you really want a different transducer you can check Airmar's fine line-up. You can spend from about $135 to about $800 and you will get marked improvement in your target seperation and identification, but I doubt you will be able to see fish arches while on plane. If you do pull the plug on a new ducer, remember to change the transducer selection to the proper model in the 'Installation' part of your Sonar/Sonar menu.

  6. A C'mon Willy take the plunge!!!

    BARRY

Well, I placed a call to them. This is perfect for my boat (pontoon with 50hp Merc Bigfoot) without a good place for mounting a small kicker. My SmartCraft TrollControl guage only allows a 1000 RPM ceiling, which is good until I fish into a light breeze. Need to see the $ before taking the plunge.

  8. I am stepping up to the new Lowrance Touch units so I have for sale my 10" HDS-Gen2 with LSS-2HD combo unit with Insight USA. These must sell together to keep them in warranty! No LSS transducer goes with this and I have adjusted the price accordingly. The package is less than 6 months old, have 18 months of warranty left and 54 months of Advantage Service left.

I'm asking $2200 for the package. New in the box this sells for $2998 + about $235 tax for $3233 so you save almost $1000 on a near new bundled unit. Freight to the lower 48 is $50 additional.

    Bundle serial# 104339855

    Part# 000-10542-001

  9. I have the trol-a-Matic plate on my 90 hp mercury. You will lose some top end. But it will troll down to 1.0 mph.

I used this plate until I switched to the Mercury Smart Gauge with Troll Control. Make sure you use stainless bolts with nylon locking nuts. The plate works like a champ and you never worry about bending or breaking it if you forget to trip it. It's all automatic!

  10. Looking at those 3 pics, to me, it appears the unit has zoomed way out. The coordinates are the same in all 3 pics, and it would appear the river is also the same, as it seems to run the same course in all 3 pics. I can't really see what the zoom level is in any of the pics. You might want to try zooming in the next time this happens to see if it doesn't bring you back.
