    New for 2012 Moonshine Lures has a new line of spoons they are calling their RV Spoons. Same great glow colors but the colors change as the spoon moves back and forth through the water.     Harbor Dredging Not Gonna Happen - Need To Support SA 1830

    The Great Lakes Small Harbors Coalition is a group representing small harbors from around the Great Lakes where dredging and harbor maintenance issues are of particular concern...The coalition is working with federal and Great Lakes entities to effect the changes needed to address the long-term viability and safety of our harbors.

    How Can You Help? - ACT NOW!

    1. Start a local e-mail campaign today among your colleagues, family members, harbor officials and any interested stakeholders advising them to contact their congressman asking for their support on SA 1830 and requesting specifically "that the House take up the Senate bill". While you are at it, tell them why dredging is important to our local economies, quality of life, and personal safety too.

    2. For anyone who does not know their representatives or how to reach them, use this link http://www.thomas.gov. On left margin, click House of Representatives. Then "find your representative" by entering your zip code. It will tell how to reach the representatives by email, phone, or fax.

    THIS IS OUR BEST CHANCE...LET'S START RAISING THE "CROWD NOISE" NOW!!!

    The bill's short title is: Sportsmen's Heritage Act of 2012.

    Its purpose is "To protect and enhance opportunities for recreational hunting, fishing and shooting" (including polar bear conservation).

    2012 Oreans ProAm: Special 3 Night Package Deal (June 7-9)

    The 2012 Orleans County Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Pro-Am Tournament will be held June 9th and 10th. We are planning for this year's tournament to be bigger and better than ever!

    Captain's Cove has put together a 3 night package (Thursday, June 7-Saturday, June 9) deal together with Wiley's Riverside Marina. Please see the details in the flyer below. Don't wait too long to call and make your reservation since we only have 14 rooms total and can probably only accomodate 6-7 teams.

    However, Wiley's will have additional slips available, all with water and electric hookup. At Wiley's there are fewer steps to the docks than at the County Marine Park, they have an electric lift available, and a party deck with picnic tables and grills.     Kids Coloring Contest - Available @ LOTSA on 2/26/12

    Since this year's LOTSA event is focused on kids, we are giving away a dozen worms and a morning or afternoon's fishing access from our shore for any child ages 5-12 who colors this photo of our tackle shop and brings it into the shop.
