  1. Mr.clean I respect ur decision especially bein its a huge event. I’m from Northeast Pa (The Pocono area) and were surrounded by communitys with summer homes for people from NYC and they are swarming the area now comin from “The Epicenter” of the pandemic. All local gas stations and food marts are loaded with NY license plates and now our countys number are doubleing every 2 days. And it doesnt help the Martz busses have been running non stop back and forth from NYC till they got shutdown today. I’m itchin to get on Lake Ontario. I have a house now in Pulaski, but i will be stayin home DRooling over the pics you guys are posting. ;(
Congratulations Mr.Clean and hope all goes well for you and your family
Stop at the WaWa in Blakeslee or White Haven in the Pocono's and there are few Pa plates, they are all NY and NJ. Big city people have a different attitude.

  2. Had to find an alternative to the lake since I am watching my 8 yr old granddaughter who is off from school. Decided to kill some time at one of my childhood hangouts, The Seven Tubs area on the east mountain of Wilkes Barre, Pa. This is Laurel Run Creek, a designated wild trout stream and loaded with small native brook trout.

Easily caught half dozen 6 inch brookies quickly. Of course, released all. Gorgeous little fish.20200318_112530.jpeg20200318_121500.jpeg20200318_121346.jpeg20200318_112530(0).jpeg

  3. A recommendation for your SS hardware. Instead of running all over creation looking for the right screws and bolts, order it from McMaster Carr online. They have everything imaginable and ship quickly. If using the boat mainly in fresh water , 304 Stainless is good and a bit less expensive. If using in salt water a lot use type 316, much more corrosion resistant but about 25% more$.

  4. I bought 8 Okuma Coldwater reels (45 size) for salmon a few years ago. Liked them except for creep when used on a dipsies and sticky drags all the time. Called Okuma after about 2 years and even though they were out of warranty, they gave me an authorization number to send to Tuna's. I only paid shipping out there. Reels were sent back with new drags and tuned up. Now they are excellent for the cost.

  5. I made a comment last year about losing a ball when the clip on a Blacks release broke at the bend. The release was a few years old and I remove the weight after each trip so the clip was opened many times. The fatigue and the wear from weight moving back and forth caused the breakage. Point being I replace the release on the probe downrigger at the beginning of each season. I use Cannon STX riggers and they are scary violent on start and stop. Tried Amish snubber but they are large and seem to increase blowback some. Tried the Dreamweaver snubber that is two twisted clear bands with a generic blacks type release between them. Was a bit too elastic for my taste so I disassembled it and used one of the twisted bands per rigger just above the ball. This works well to calm down the cannon stx stops and starts. Another thing to be aware of is the eye hook area on the Fishawk. The piece both top and bottom is a stamped part and has a sharp edge on the punch exit side. I deburr that sharp edge very slightly because I dont want it rubbing and wearing the clips, especially on the top one which can cause a probe loss.
