  1. Les, still using the old 20lb flea flicker from Cortland on my DR's. Been on there for 15 years, just before they stopped making it. Every time I go to change it out, I just can't bring myself to taking it off. Still works!!
  2. Good Day, I have been running a Tek 500 for my 7 color lc. It is fuller then I like. Is anyone running a Tek 600 by chance? thanks for the reply, dave
  3. I have an 80/24v. Currently have two lead acids but am going lithium for weight. Works fine for trolling with the 9.9 for direction, and for speed changes on calm days. 72” is a must.
  4. I will be putting more time in with loaded gear shortly
  5. Performance tabs seem to do the trick. Only have a few hours on them but there is a noticeable improvement
  6. Thanks for the reply. I am leaning towards Lithium because of the weight savings. Still researching. But if I stay with lead acid, these look very good.
  7. Update: Smokercraft has recommended trim tabs. Electric units will not fit with the swim ladder and current kicker location. Second choice are performance tabs. They are currently being installed by the dealership. Do I have a hook in the hull? How does that occur with a new boat? Trailering? Does StarCraft repair hooks in the factory? Any thoughts welcome, Dave
  8. I have my eye on a pair of VMax MR 137 120ah group 31 AGM batteries for my Terrova 80. Anyone using these bug chance? Thanks for the responses, Dave
  9. I haven’t been at the boat since this picture. Are you going to take the covers off and take a look?
  10. Trout hunter- Amen to that. I have a place on Keuka. And I am getting real good at the smoker! Not sure this will ever get corrected. I know it takes time. The Cisco experiment has done nothing from my perspective. But, I am fortunate enough to be on it, for that I am thankful.
  11. Good Day, I was just checking the engine mounts on my 9.9. Is the water discharge from around mid engine normal? Please check the water drops in the center of the picture. The stream continues through out rpm’s. Thanks Dave
  12. IMG_2480.mov Additional pics of issue. Does the motor seem too high? I can’t seem to load my video on here that really reflects the issue
  13. Good morning, thanks again for taking the time to educate me on this and providing guidance. A lot going on here. Everyone has been helpful. Heading out today for some fish! Dave
  14. Sent videos to dealership. Changed the position of the trim tab anode to all possible positions. There was little to no improvement in the lean issue. Ran the boat in several different directions and varied rpm. Turning to the left seems to have more resistance than turning to the right when on plane. Pulled of the steering rod to the 9.9 and made sure the 9.9 was trimmed up full. Still has severe lean to port side above 2500 rpm to plane. Bow raises rather quickly when given throttle. Here is the anode position from the dealership. Thanks, Dave
  15. Thanks guys for the information, this is helpful. I will be at the boat tomorrow afternoon and will be giving this a thorough looking over. I may send out a few more additional questions at that point. Thanks again for your support and guidance. Dave
  16. All good ideas. Thanks Rodbuster for the pics, yes they look like different manufacturers. mr580, you are correct, I am not happy about any of it. I will spend more time with it starting Thursday. What can be done about the scratches at this point? Dealer is saying the kicker was trimmed up to much. Yea, well. I will tighten all the linkage and see if I can put the ball stud on top. Really not something I should have to do n a new rig.
  17. RodBuster- Thanks! Pics would be helpful. This issue has been bothering me. Greatly appreciate your time and guidance. Dave
  18. Thanks again for the advise. I will check all the recommendations Thursday when I get to the boat. I did hear back from the dealership. They are asking for a video of the issue to send directly to Starcraft. I am not sure if this is a good thing or if it will cause further delay. Assuming it will help. Dave
  19. This bracket will raise an inch and then drop back down when lifted by hand. OK? Dave
  20. Very interesting thread, thanks for providing me the link. Just a few more facts with my issue: 2023 FM 196 1- 150 and 9.9 on port side 2- dual batteries in aft, one each side 3- no trolling motor (yet), no forward batteries (yet) - will be two 12v mounted center front) 4- 2 people, driver 190lbs passenger 140lbs Bow does porpoise quickly, a bit high in my opinion. The port lean begins immediately at 5-7%. If trimmed 3/4 or more, the lean does lesson but never goes below 5%. Stays in this position and never changes. Even through various rpm ranges. Under 2000 rpm, boat sits level and runs stable. Main motor mounted with one hole showing from top on engine mount. Prop - is unknown at this time. SS 3 blade but details not known. I am away from the boat as I write this. I will call the dealer Monday AM. I also have a logistics issue as the dealer is 3 hours from Keuka Lake, where the boat is. I am hoping this can be taking care of. Dave
  21. I am on the road today, but will follow this closer tonight. Thanks guys. I want to correct this! Dave
