  1. Thanks for the quick replies. I do not think it is the auto cart, as I am just trying to get a more accurate contour line depth under normal usage. Do I require autochart for one foot readings?

I will take a closer look at the menu's as YT suggests, but I believe I have gone through rather thoroughly. I must be missing something, or I would get 1 foot markings instead of only 10, correct? Maybe it was lack of zoom?

  2. Yankee Troller,

Thanks for the tips, I have loaded Lakemaster Plus v2 in my Helix g3. I seem to be having difficulty with the contour depth readings. I only get 10 foot increments instead of lower more 1-2' detail readings. I believe I may not understand or have the base layer setting correct. Would you be willing to share some wisdom in this area?

    Appreciate the help. Dave

  3. Good Day, Navionics Hot Maps Plantiun vs Lakemaster plus v2. The above video is showing exactly what I am trying to achieve with my Hummingbird 3gn SI_DI. I currently have a Lakemaster 2 installed and working, BUT I can not get anything other then 10' increments on the depth sonar. How can I get better readings?

Does Lakemaster 2 have this capability? I am hoping so, for $150 ,10' depth increments will not work for me.

    Thanks, Dave

  4. I have the p66 from previous configuration. Unclear on how to tie them all together. I just went through and researched, but have found nothing. Sent Hummingbird an email, but I will be surprised if I get a detailed answer. Will post to the LOU folks, maybe someone will help.

  5. I am coming from an older Furuno 620 (this year) and also miss the lack of the cone down. I may put it back on just for that propose. If so, I would be in the same config you are looking at. My P66 is mounted on the starboard side already, I just never took if off.

If your concern is prop produced interference, I am having none on the port side. I just kept the transducers as far away as practical. Every boat is different, but no issues on mine.

Not sure if your kicker will have an issue. I just try with my main motor only.

    Overview:

X4 and g3n on my port side. No issue separately, no kicker, have not tested both at the same time.

P66 on starboard side, not currently hooked up. Was hooked up last year and worked fine with the X4 on port.

  6. Good Day,

My Helix g3 SI transducer is on the port side of the engine, no issues. You do understand the SI transducer also has 2d sonar capability (Helix g3). You may have additional FF's and need three transducers?. I would highly recommend a transducer mounting board be installed ( if you do not have one already), on both the port and starboard side, if possible. Great way to save from too many holes in the boat.

I have a x4 mounted on the port side as well. Last year it worked fine. This year I have not had both the SI and X4 turned on at the same time yet. Both seem work individually just fine. The x4 frequency is no were near the FF's.

  7. Good Day, I am hoping can advise me on stowing side curtains when not in use. I would like to keep them on the boat. But to keep them in good shape is what I am having trouble with. There is a rigid channel at the bottom of each curtain,  so will not roll up to tight. Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Dave

  8. Good Day, I am in need to install a boat lift hoist this year due to health issues. I have an RGC 4000 hoist. Does anyone have any advise on what type battery paired with a solar charger would be appropriate? I have a fairly new deep cycle I wouldn't mind using, but not sure that is correct, cranking? What wattage on the solar charger? Research shows many options, but also says a very large panel may be needed. For sizing purposes I am saying the boat is completely lifted/lowered out of the water twice a day. Partially lifted 2 or 3 times a day. There will be a week of charging time followed by a week of usage.

    Thanks, Dave
