    The boat and motor are both 2012. I am the original owner. Also includes custom light bar from metal man in Watertown, extra prop, tank and battery. I had the belt, prop, throttle, and plugs replaced two years ago by a copperhead dealer. The oil has been changed every year. The boat is wired with a DC plug, tiny tach and lights. 

     

    This is a great, clean, well taken care of boat for anyone who is in the market for a mud boat or considering one. The capabilities of this rig are awesome and it really moves.

    I am in the process of getting pics together and getting my boat up on craigslist, I will link the add when I get it together. I wanted to put it up here first, it is a 1548 Allweld with aluminum loadrite trailer, topped with a 18hp copperhead surface drive mud motor, custom build pop-up blind (like Avery but much nicer).     I'm all set in the boat department, but some may be interested in performance numbers and other metrics.

    Efficient cruise speed and rpm?

    Top speed and rpm?

    What's she draft?

    How good is the boat control and trolling speed using the kicker?

    Don't see the kicker mounted?

    Kicker controls at helm?

    How is kicker steered?

    No gear/rigging at all other than the Raymarine?

    The boat is my parents, they bought it and haven't used it at much as they thought they would. There are a couple of flush mounted perkos for fishing equipment, it was used for a couple boat rides only. Kicker is linked to out drive, the pics on the trailer where prior to the kicker being mounted. The boat tops about 38mph and cruises around 28mph.

    This is with a 12" dexter Russell sani-safe

    I prefer a 14" victorinox forchner cimitar for salmon. get a graton edge if you can. It skins better.

    Same cuts for salmon except I take the side off the fish. Lay it skin side up and punch a hole with the blade 1" from the tail of the fillet. This allows me to grab the hole with my middle finger and skin the fillet in one swipe.
