  1. Overkill just put one in at Hughes Marina. He is docked in the corner by the gas dock. Stop and talk to him. His name is Jeff.
  2. Is it possible to convert the Penn Yan to hydraulic? Then you could take the electronics from your old boat. May save you some $$.
  3. http://www.amazon.com/ThermaCELL-MR-9L-Mosquito-Repellent/dp/B0030WV9AA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1438002508&sr=8-3&keywords=thermacell Tried one of these this weekend. works great. Daytime flies nighttime , skeeters. If only they made one for fleas.

  5. I run a 200hp. Johnson with a 3 blade aluminum prop. I installed a whale tail to improve hole shot and steering torque. The tail works well, however lost about 10 mph. I was thinking about buying a 4 blade and removing the whale tail since the 4 blade is supposed to reduce steering torque and improve hole shot. Does anyone have any feedback on performance after doing this?

  7. Baron Magnum overnighter. They only built them 2 years. Mine is a '97 outboard. Love it, fishes like a much larger boat.
  8. I use them on 12# balls and have had them break. Don't think they would last with 20# balls. I don't trust them after a year or so either, I think sunlight affects them.
  9. Don't forget to put your fly down first before pulling meat, otherwise you could have a wicked tangle.
  10. The Ontario Fastrac doesn't have ethanol free 87 octane yet, only 91. Hope they switch over soon.
  11. Yes, some folks like to see them and some don't.
  12. 21# caught near Pville on the Holy Mackerel boat. The current state record of 24 15 oz. also in 1997
  13. Some guys at my marina bought a boat last year that had been in storage and ruined the motor. Old gas and lack of lubrication. It was a v-6 I/O. I would put some oil in each spark plug hole and roll it over by hand a few times if it hasn't been started for awhile. Draw off some gas in a clear container and check it, or run it in your mower. Also, change the filter or install one if not equipped.
  14. western red cedar or redwood if you can find it. Mine are 30 years old out of redwood. Also buy stainless threaded rod and hardware.
  15. I always put the short line on the bottom of the spool and new 1000' on the outside with a double haywire. You don't have to worry about the knot through the guides. You just need an empty reel and a little more cranking.
  16. (2) Cannon swivel bases for sale. Never used. These are the latest design that where reinforced at the weak points of the previous design. $100 for the pair, plus actual shipping cost. PAYPAL accepted.
  17. Nice job Guys! Thanks! Where did all those new pirates come from? The browns are in big trouble.
  18. A friend of mine bought Pine Valley and lives in Palmyra NY. He tried to revive the name with little success in the 80's. He has since retired and gave up on the spoon business. I believe he still has the equipment and probably tons of blanks. He also had plating issues like Sutton, that led to Pine Valley's demise.
  19. Simrad quit making cable autopilot a few years ago. Look into Octopus Auto pilot, they are the company that made the drive unit for Simrad. Simrad is a sister company to Lowrance and is probably why the cable steer was phased out. I have ap12 simred and it works well at all speeds. Got rid of Raymarine years ago, too many problems, very expensive repairs.
