  1. I love it, a friend of mine had his set up in the front yard. I asked how mad his wife would be, he was using her iron board. He said he got his at a second hand store. It really is slick, It's a wonder there not sold in tackle stores across Americe. I have a flex hose with a shower head on mine that adjusts

  2. The best cleaning and cuttin board money can buy, is an old iron board. The one that has the grill top. Fish will not slip and the fluids drip through to the ground. You can take the garden hose and rinse it off on the lawn.I found mine at a second hand store for $ 5.00. Your back will not hurt from bending over, just adjust the board to your height. I know Ray you think this is a joke as well, but it is not...

  3. The trains out here do. They even went right through Wongs home office and onto the field behind it. Also boats with out drain plugs float. There is also a movie star on every block. Great thing my home town the pop is only 18 ( thats no joke there )

They want to make us part of the state of jeferson, ever who he is. and we have an exchange rate between California and Oregon, have not be told what it's going tobe yet . It's a hell of a day at sea capt. Now lets all go fishing :D

  4. Tom

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Poor old Ray messed it up some how. I told him to double wrap it in foil. Some how he wrapper in butcher paper , then ran it throught the dishwasher twice..What can I say..Now his wife is upset with him. I am packed and Headed to Oregon at 5;30a, for big lake trout ( mackinaw )..Good luck Ray . Wait till you get a deer or a bear and tell you how to make sausage... By the way Ray--Joe the plumer cooks his salmon this way :D

  5. There is a lake in California call Lake Oroville. It's the only lake in the whole state they stock Coho's in. In the winter , you have a hard time getting below the little guys to get bigger fish. They are a real pain in the rear.

  6. Oh yes I know the j-plugs and do use them. The record King of of my home lake is 18lbs. The ave around 4-5 lbs.My best on Shasta Lake is 8.2 lbs . See out here we all used rolled shad. now I have gotten into spoons , flies and dipsy divers, I have been out fishing most. Even some of my guide ( capt's ) friends. I have in the past used the white color

  7. Out here on the west coast, the Kings are going to start staging in the next couple of weeks. My question is, what do you all find better. Spoons or stickbaits for these staging Kings ? Please be specific on colors and brand. Now are lakes are not clear like yours. 2 feet visibility at the most. Thanks for any help.

  8. From way out west, we call lake trout, Mackinaw. The way I fish for them is a 6" white Grand Slam Bucktail with a large wiggle fin on the nose. 26" to 30" leader with a Gold flodger. Off the 15lb ball is a 180' set back.

Trolling speed 2.2 to 2.4 mph

For stick biats I use the Cisco Kid Husky or the Wrangler. Off the downrigger ball of 15lbs a set back of 180' to 220'

We find cowbells and such will move the fish away or not bite at all.

Trolling speed 2.2 to 2.8 mph

Just a west coast 2 cents worth

  9. I am know expert, I just got into dipsy divers last year as well. I started off with 30# braid ., on two of my rods. Oh let me tell you about the tangles with the downriggers. But after asking , how to set the dive. It was a cake walk. Three months after I got a okma wire rod and 1,000 feet of malin 30# wire , Daiwa sg4lca reel. I have always use line counters to get me back in the strike zone. Man your goin to love them after , you master them. I now get more fish off the dipsy divers than my downriggers. Still do not know why yet.
