  1. Welcome to the forum! Tin boats forum and iboats forum might be a better source of info for boat restoration. Those Sea Nymphs are nice little boats. Personally, I wouldn't paint it. I have a 16ft 1974 Sears row/utility boat that has about 4 or 5 coats of paint, all different colors, and all peeling at their own rate. It's an ugly boat because of all that peeling paint. There's black paint on the bottom too. But it's a fish catching machine. I wish it was stripped down to bare aluminum like my aluminum Michi-Craft canoe. But that's just my opinion. See for yourself...
  2. Ok, sounds good. I bought these last year because I like to clean and wax my hull, including the area that sits on the bunks.
  3. Are these reels in good working condition? Do they have any kind of clutch system? I've been trying to figure out how to mount them on my rocket launcher to replace the two I have.
  4. Welcome back to the forum! Best of luck finding your next boat.
  5. The tops sit flat in the lowest position but they swivel and angle when you raise them a little.
  6. I have four like the one pictured. They are 25" tall at their lowest position. The boards are all 12" x 12". I'm up in Carthage, NY.
  7. Where are you located. I have 4 stands but they aren't for sale.
  8. That's crazy! The Die Hard is supposed to be a reliable battery. Interstates are hard to find around here. I got mine at Gander Mountain, but they are closing shop now. I would have no problem with buying another Everstart MAXX. Walmart is pretty good with their return policy too.
  9. I have a size 29 interstate and a size 24 Interstate, both bought new last year and they are holding up just fine. I also have two size 24 Everstart marine batteries from walmart that are 2 years old and they seem to be holding up just fine too. I like the extra reserve capacity on the Interstate batteries, but both brands have been 100% reliable in my boats.
  10. I think it is rated at 122 RC. It's best to check the actual battery label in the store.
  11. Ok, sounds good. I have to go to Watertown tomorrow anyway. Cell is 315783 one four 01. Text me your address when you get home and I'll stop by.
  12. Ok, I'm in Carthage. I have a pair of Uni-Troll manual riggers without bases. Looks like yours will fit.
  13. Good luck. I've been out 5 or 6 times this year and haven't caught a salmon yet. Caught 2 lake trout today, one on a flasher fly combo, the other on a cowbell. We trolled for 3 or 4 hours without moving a rod so we dropped a cowbell & peanut down just to put a fish on the deck. We were marking some fish here and there, some in the 50 foot depth and a few more in the 110 to 150ft range. We tried spoons, meat rigs, flasher/fly, all on 4 riggers and 2 dipsy rods. It was a long day and we didn't see any other boats netting fish either.
  14. I stopped by two Marina's today on the St Lawrence River near Clayton and the water is still near the top of their docks.
  15. Yep, I don't think anyone will believe it until they see it.
  16. Thanks for the link. 2 weeks ago I still had to wade through 2ft deep water to launch my 16ft boat up in Chaumont Bay. They have a floating dock but most of the ramp leading to the dock was under water.
  17. He lives in PA, but fishes out of the Henderson/Dexter area.
  18. This is a great thread! Can't wait to see how it all turns out.
  19. Is Lake Ontario Rising Again? I haven't been to the lake in a couple of weeks and we've been getting pounded with heavy rain recently, especially these past few days. Is the lake rising again or has it gone down at all? But looking at the big picture, it looks like the eastern half or 2/3 of the Great Lakes have been getting absolutely drenched recently. One day last week Watertown (NY) got over 3.2" of rain in a single day! What about the inland lakes like the Finger Lakes? I've noticed that Cranberry Lake (NY) has been under flash flood watches the last 2 days or so. Thanks and have a safe July 4th weekend.
  20. I wish I had the money, it would fit my dash board right next to my 959ci HD. Seems like a good price with the Navionics card. But I just bought a new EZ Steer kit and put a kicker motor on my boat.
